great reports on the eclipse ladies. I feel so disappointed! I wish I could have gotten a hold of some of the eclipse viewing glasses but non were available.
Well the next eclipse (northern ohio) is suppose to be in 7 years on April 8th..... I am gonna start looking for glasses now!

well, here in AZ, it wasn't so much. I didn't have glasses and really didn't bother to go out to check it out more than 2 or three times with two sheets of paper -- one with a pinhole punched in it.
I have experienced a full eclipse back in 79 when we lived in Washington state. It was spectacular! An experience that one never forgets. I felt left out yesterday. Sniff. And watching it streaming was a real letdown after the whole full totality experience years ago. Anyway, my computer kept freezing and reloading, so I didn't really mess with that too much.

We had a kind gentleman at work bring in the viewing glasses. We also saw it out the window at about 80%. The glasses block absolutely everything. All I saw in the glasses was an orange crescent. It was much better on tv and the internet!

Thanks for letting us know. I don't want to say goodbye to summer, but "sale" and "clearance" are ringing in my ears!

DH and I loved the eclipse. It was amazing, even though we were just outside the totality zone. We were 99.8% or something like that. It was so eerie how it got dark, and all the crickets and night bugs started chirping. The little crescent shadows on our patio were neat, too.
