I have to leave my office and my computer and my favorite big squishy chair. I also get to leave behind committee meetings, scheduling classes for upcoming semesters and demanding students who forgot to register for classes. On the whole it has been a joyous run for me and I would do it all again if I could, but I am tired and need a good nap.

No big plans for retirement but lots of UFO's to tackle and some promised quilts to make. I am looking forward to a less frenetic winter, spring, summer, and fall and will accept all advise about retirement. I am sure that I will need it.
You are so lucky. I am waiting for that retirement day which is many years away yet for me. I do long arm quilting for customers, in addition to my full time job a a Hotel Manager, so I am, like you, an extremely busy person.

Belated birthday wishes to Happylab. I'm sorry but just can't get it together since pneumonia. I was making table runners when I got sick and they are still there in my sewing room. I am going to try today, again. Ha Ha!
I did a lot of surfing the last few days......you tube is wonderful! I found a quilter there that deals mostly in 5" charms.
Hope it is okay to mention that here but I have 3 containers full of 5" charms and I have to use them also.
Just go to you tube and put in a search for Gourmet quilter.
December birthday ladies, your candies are in the mail, hope you enjoy them!

I'm still having too much fun playing with my candy to post pics yet. But I plan to post tomorrow. It's sad but true my BD month is over. I had a great month. I ordered things for me from several quilting sites, Went out to dinner 3-4 times the week of my birthday. Talked or went out to eat with several members of my extended family. Plus I finished projects and started projects for my new Compled/UFO's. Plus I received my angles swap blocks and best of all my BD candy blocks from you all. Thank-you all very much for helping to make my birthday month a great month. Now I'm passing the baton to the Dec BD members, have fun!

Sunrise....pneumonia is not fun! So be careful...just when you think you are getting better you can have a relapse.

I have had pneumonia 7 times! It is not fun. Take it easy....
