Birthday Swap 2020/2021

How many of you name your sewing machines? I know it is very common with Singer Featherweights. I officially named my Featherweight, Stella. It is a perfect name. Stella was the lady next door while growing up who encouraged me to sew. She sat me at her machine for hours to show me. I did lots of mine and her thread ripping to fix things. She helped raise us when my mother was out of it. So, Stella it is!

I've never been creative with naming sewing machines! I just call them by their company name, followed by model number if I have more than one from that company, like Singer 15-91, Singer 201, and Pfaff. All my machines are pre 1960's. But I love the idea of naming sewing machines.

Thank you one and all for all the Birthday goodies. I received my last envelope on my birthday so everyone was on time!!
I spent my 66th birthday on Route 66 in Flagstaff AZ. We booked a quaint B&B and walked throughout the town looking at the mural and artwork - and sampling the craft beer. And yes, I did check out the LQS!

We call my Singer, The Singer, as Mom, sis & I practiced singing hymns while Mom pinned to fit our dresses. Hubby sometimes calls it The Bride because he's seen plenty of lace draped over it, so glad wedding dresses are in my past.
