Kass, I am definitely in the mood for a second pinwheel.....have enough fabric to make another one...but after this past week....I have lost my mind and still trying to remember what I did with it!

Bee love your pinwheel. Sound like you had an old fashioned holiday with the grandkids. Playing boardgames, popcorn, talking, hmmmmmmmmmmm couldn't be all bad.

That pinwheel is so cheery and colorful! Looks like it should spin at any second Bee.
Never sew when you are tired...is my lesson for tonight.
I knew better, but i thought oh i can just finish it up.
I had Jaba's block all finished and seams all spot on.
I went to trim and square it and failed to get the top and bottom sides evenly spaced.
So the points of the triangle on bottom were much closer to the edge than the top side.
UGH! I took out the bottom row and recut those pieces and I will
sew up a new row and finish it and square it when i am well rested.

Hi Ladies! I've been gone traveling with my girls seeing family for most of June -- so I haven't been on the thread much. I arrived home last week to my "squishy" (YEAH!!) and some minor house disasters (BOO!). Finally sat down last night (after the FIFA game -- congrats Team USA!) to admire all the fabrics (YUuuuUUUuuuMMO!) Can't wait to catch up on the thread and get started on my squares too.

Billi, do you hand or machine quilt? Do you mind a block w/ some extra layers? (not 3D, all flat, just some folded layers)

Kass I machine quilt sometimes a little extra texture/thickness is important for a block to look right

So would you mind a block that has some areas w/ extra layers of folded fabric, but that lays flat?
