For All2Pieces. The fabric I added has a story behind it. I'd bought it to make some curtains for my cherry-themed kitchen, but I haven't had a chance to do it yet. When I opened your F8, she immediately pointed toward that cherry curtain fabric, and told me that's what she wanted! So that's what she got! I bought plenty, so I was happy to accommodate her wishes. I just love fabric that talks to me right off the bat! ha ha Hope you like the block.

Lovely blocks, Moonrise... how do you photograph them so nice and flat? Do you put them in the scanner?

All2Pieces, with the help of some of the Boomers, I hope you understand why some people are making 2 blocks each. I'm going to give as brief a recap as possible. For every F8 you receive, you need make only ONE block. Some people signed up to make 2 blocks so I sent them 2 F8s. Sometimes swappers find they have enough to make two blocks out of one F8. That's what Jaba did of her own volition, absolutely not a requirement. And if someone makes 2 for you "just because", you need not reciprocate.

Also, for those of you making 2 F8s because you rec'd two F8s, PLEASE do not combine them in a single baggie. For those of you making an "extra" block from a single F8, please put them both in the same bag the F8 came in. I'm pretty sure you all will do that automatically anyway, but I did want to clarify. When I sort everything, I count baggies. Too many or two few baggies can derail me and really slow the sorting process to a crawl while I figure out what's going on. 550+ blocks to sort can be daunting.

Libster there is no real pattern that I know of. I saw this on the border of a quilt in a magazine and thought it would be pretty as a block. They are 2 7/8" blocks cut on the half triangle with the coordinating colors then a sashing added and then the 3 on each side. VERY easy and I like the block..Im thinking of making it a border around my next quilt. Loving ALL my blocks so far...I'm trying not to rush and then not have any to make with a couple months to wait for them to come back!!

Jaba, i'd be wanting to hurry too! She's gorgeous! A precious smile for her grandma.

Have you decided on what your name will be? We chose grammy for me, but one day I realized my last name starts with E so I became by accident GramE. I was at a CrossCountry meet on Saturday, and from the start line I heard this loud "GRAME" shout. 3 of my grandsons had seen me there & were giving me a shout out. Melts your heart every time you hear it!

Hope your winter is full of cooing & cuddles, and giggles, and silly songs, long chats on your dreams for her and much much love!
