I do love a good batik, but once you fall down the rabbit hole of fussy cutting it is hard to "cut fabric like a barbarian" lol lol lol (meant as a joke) or to get fabric that can't be fussy cut effectively.

I think when I look at fabric now I first look through the fussy cut glasses! Then move on to the next one if I see no possibilities!

GramE - So glad you are okay! Perhaps you should invest in a spare battery for your phone (if you can)? My Florida insurance company sent out emergency cell charger thingy instead of calendars this year. More useful to my mind.

I went to elementary school in southern Louisiana. Hurricane grids were printed on paper grocery bags every year. We tracked those suckers religiously. You can never tell where a tornado will show up.

Lstew2212 - PM is not my friend. It will not let me send a photo. Can you see the print with your fabric? Do you like it or would you prefer a more solid reading fabric?

I have just caught up on pages and pages of posts, I have been out of town for a week. I love all the blocks that have been made for me (and everyone else).

I hope to get started on my blocks for all of you this weekend. It is hard to find time, I work nights and sleep during the day, but I live with my mother who doesn't get up till i am going to bed and the sewing room is right next to her room.

OMG so many new blocks, and I just missed yesterday. The colors are so rich and vibrant, and there were a lot of patterns that I hadn't seen before. Great job.

Gram we had tornado warnings here in central Mo last night too but no major damage like you all had. I hate tornados at night...you cant see them coming..the lightening was horrible though. Glad you were OK!
