Got my border on Boom 16 and trying to locate fabric that will play well for the backing.
I was blessed at a yard sale on Saturday and came home with a lot of fabric including a stack of charms. Picked out a few and made up some leaves using pattern found at http://intrepidthread.blogspot.com/2...orial-and.html .

These are beautiful, TG. Will they be a center for the falling leaves quilt?

Terri, love your 4 newest blocks. Sometimes they just don't workout and maybe the replacement block, like GramE's was just meant to be.

I love, love, love the Carpenter's Star. I made a queen size shades of teal for my niece and a baby one in purple for a cousin's first grand child. I use the "magic 8" system to make the HST and it is easy peasy!

It is very easy. Ive made the small ones like on my quilt but Ive also made one hugh queen size on in purples ...havent gotten it quilted yet though. It was more a practice quilt! Ive use the 8 before but Im always a little scared about the correct size they will come out... Is there a guide for what the big squares should be to equal 8 smaller triangles?
