I have another side swap block this one is for Kass and I call it dancing ribbon stars I didn't get it to do exactly what I wanted but I don't see the movement in the pieces before I cut the way Kass does. but who does? Thanks for swapping with me Kass.

Next up in order of what arrived first is Terri and the beer and cigars. Poor me I was forced out to the store to buy fabrics to go with it.....it was such a chore .

have a good night all.

This is a new to me star block, Billi. Love it.

MJP thank you so much for the Dresden plate. Its one of my favorite blocks! I love the way the flower fabric stands out! Ive been making a 18" block patriotic fabrics in the pattern of a heart. Got 16 of them done but now I have to figure out sashing...my worst favorite part of making a quilt! Have blues, reds, solids, stars, confederate flags, etc laid out on the table but nothing is catching my eye..ugh....Im putting it up so I can get ready for the Quails this weekend!

Libster- I love the ribbon star! That is a new block to me.

MJP - can't wait to hear how the speech went. Did you ever post a picture of your finished Hawaiian quilt? I'd sure love to see it.

Billi - I have that same block pinned on pinterest! I might have to be a copy cat and make it for someone!

Great block for Kass, Billi! (I pinned it too...) It's all 2" HSTs... yikes!

MJP, I meant to wish you well as Toastmaster, the last time I posted. I started typing and clean forgot! Do let us know how they liked your talk on our Boom swap. My local group here did one, because I talked about our QB Boom so much to them. I think it's the most fun and creative swap I've ever participated in.

Joan, I finished your block today. The colors are a little off I used my cell phone and the flash mixed w/ dark ambient light yellowed everything Hope you like it.

Wonderful block, Kass! Looks so pretty with her fabric.

I'm so bogged down repairing old quilts. Can't wait to play with new fabric again.

The toastmasters 6 minute talk went very well. I got voted best speaker. The two other main speakers were both people with many speeches under their belts and this was just my third speech. My speech was about the quilting bees of now, booms. I showed them the Day of the Dead quilt, which is the only boom quilt I have completed. I also showed them boom blocks. I get written feedback and what people seemed to like best was when I told them info about boomers. I told them about Kass’s chickens, sewbizgirl being an exercise maven like me and our fearless leader Janice. I also told them about all the mentoring you’ve all done for me. You’re all famous, well at least in Encinitas.

Great blocks everyone. They’re all wonderful.

Sewbizgirl did you find any fabric you’d forgotten about, when you washed all that fabric?
