Janice, thanks for keeping the gallery. It gives us chance to see what the final quilt will look like even before we get the blocks. That's a real boost for my creativity with my own blocks and the ones I making for others!

I have heard dryer sheets, I do not know this since I don't ever have any, since I am sensitive to the fragrances.

Terriamn, I've tried the dryer sheets and don't think they work very well. Have noticed that sheets for cleaning irons smell just like the Bounce sheets, and I wasn't happy with them either.

My biggest iron problems usually are from fusibles.

I took a class taught by the lady who invented misty-fuse, and she recommended Scotchbrite scrubbers, used dry. These are the pads that are sold separately, not attached to sponges. I've used those ever since and they've taken off every mess my iron has gotten into. They're good for non-stick pans and have never damaged my iron.

Terri, Dritz makes a product called Iron Off. I use it all the time and it works great. It's a paste in a tube. Just follow the instructions and your gunk will be gone in no time. You can find it at JoAnn's and probably at Walmart's. Not expensive at all.

I struggled on Quiltermomma's. I googled civil war fabric and tried to match it up with my blues, greens and reds. I noticed that most had a print so stayed away from the plains. Then I had to google civil war blocks and this one kept coming up. So here it is. Hope it will fit in.!

Libster - I am impressed. I had attempted a number of blocks for MJP and never could come up with four of the same strips - you did good!!
