I don't know the fabric yet, just the concept. I usually like to start w/ a concept. I think I'm going to send a terra cotta red and ask for black and white, then quilt the blocks in black thread in Zuni Native designs.

Sounds really pretty! I have a variety of patriotic fabrics I’m going to send to make blocks for a red, white, blue quilt. I’m really enjoying making patriotic blocks and would love the groups help in making a sampler.

One more block this weekend. This is Bibliostone’s. I thought of this simple pattern a month ago but put off making it thinking it was too simple. Ultimately, I gave in to what the fabric was telling me. I like it a lot. Hope you are pleased Bibliostone.

Anybody ever have a day where your quilting just didn't go your way. I made two blocks and neither one turned out good. I'm done for the day.

Absolutely! The best thing to do is what you did, call it a day and walk away. Maybe you’re tired, maybe you’re not focused, maybe it’s something else that will be cured by a bit - or a lot - of anything but quilting. Sounds like time for a good book, a nap, a walk, anything but quilting. It’ll pass, no worries.
