Bibliography great finish love all the blocks especially the fussy cutting in the corners of TG’s block.

Your depression block is a great idea. I am making some scrap blocks right now and when I use a boom fabric it brings a smile to my face

Bibliostone, love the depression block. I’ve got a few dozen I still haven’t put together in a quilt top. My, the UFOs I have! Great job on the others as well. Love the Lindy’s plane block. I didn’t know that name but it’s perfect for it. Used to be an early aviation buff but now I’ve forgotten most of it.
Libster, just checked. You’re about 2 1/2 hours from my son. I can make that work! Am sorry to hear about the shootings. My gosh, it’s almost commonplace. How horribly sad that is.
Mom’s ok, just her sore shoulder is worse. She broke her fall with her bad arm. We tried a steroid but just like a previous post or two, this morning’s blood sugar was way up so she’s had her last pill, not safe for her. Too bad, it was really helping. Now it’s back to toughing it out with otc meds that hardly help at all.
Quick FYI that I’ve begun sorting the Later blocks I’ve received. Wow! I’ve only done three but all had blocks that were perfect for size, neat, with great seam allowances, and just plain beautiful. If this trend keeps up, it’ll be one of the best results I’ve ever seen. I’m very hopeful!

Better get going. I’m off to a garden center 20 miles away that carries a lot of the less common plants to this area, many native plants, too. I only want a few but despite the drive, it’s so worth it! Hope everyone has a wonderful day, especially our birthday gal, Jaba!

Beautiful blocks, Biblio! Really like your depression block - what a great idea and a way to recall all of the wonderful boom blocks made.

Jaba, Enjoy your day Jaba. Jaba was the recipient of my first boom block. She was so gracious, praising my simple effort. It was a wonderful welcome to the booms.

We had a recent shooting here also. At a synagogue in Poway. A woman died saving the rabbi. She had immigrated from Israel to get away from the violence. Another AK47 shooting. CA has the most extremists of any state. We enact gun control laws but federal judges have been striking them down. It’s sad and scary. Hopefully things will get better in the next 5 years. We are very lucky here, we have excellent police ( and the worlds best firefighters) but there is only so much they can do..

It’s too bad the boom group isn’t running the world. Moms and grandmas would do a good job!
