Well that was close tonight, but no one that I am aware of in my family got blown away. The path the tornadoes took came w/i a mile of most of my family and a lot of friends. Don't yet know all the areas or how many were hit.

Yes they were plastic and had a ball on one end and a hole on the other.

Today, severe flooding from ridiculous amounts of rain over past week, seriously insane flooding, tornadoes all night, more water, now loose barges threatening an interstate (the main E/W one through state) bridges and a whole dam. If the dam is breached we are talking biblical floods in the area. I am in a safe place and my home is not threatened (though a big tornado missed me by less then a mile earlier)

I really love this one, Kass. I would buy this fabric if I saw it for sale!

I played with pop beads as a kid and loved them.

Good morning, Boomers!

Terriamn, I'm glad you are home and I hope it stays that way. Jaba, good to hear from you. I hope you keep warm and can rest up. Kass, your new fabric design is amazing and am glad to hear you are safe. A mile or less is downright scary. Our home was missed by less than a mile in what, 1998? That's some scary "stuff". SBG, glad your DH is home and well.

Well, it's been a bit busy for the last couple of weeks and the next two weeks are completely booked up as well so I'll remain offline for much of it. After that, I'll have a break and hope to finish planning Boom 23. unfortunately, I haven't firmed up the dates yet. Will probably go for a mid-June sign-up with the swaps to finish before the holidays. As always, I'll post the link to the sign-ups here and over on Sooner once I get QB approval. I believe I'll be sitting the next one out as there doesn't look like there will be time to host and sew but we'll see.

Must run! Be safe everyone!

2 of the 4 barges hit the dam, but the dam is holding so far!!!!!! It doesn't affect where I live, but does where I work.
