Me 4 Janice.

Beautiful day today. My next boom fabric is in washing machine and I am going to hang out on the line to dry. Love the smell of fresh air.

Good Afternoon everyone! Guess what I’m doing? If you guess sitting in the sun near my mailbox waiting for the carrier today, you’d be right. My morning changed and I was able to get the blocks finished with literally 10 minutes to spare based on our new carrier’s ability to deliver much faster than our previous one. He’s due any moment. In fact, I think I hear the truck on the cul-de-sac behind us.

Cheesehead, no matter how many times I tried, I could not squeeze your blocks into a padded envelope. Your ziplocks were somewhat larger and most people didn’t fold small. In any case, disregard the first tracking number, the second is correct. I’ll send you an email shortly.

Carrier is here...off they go!

Got my tracking number. Everything just fell into place a little early for both groups this time due to Janice's very capable handling. We love our hostess! Now, to haunt my mail lady! Hahaha

Boomers, you all are very welcome. Thank you for all your kind words today and throughout the swap. I don’t say too much about it but life is pretty dull a lot of the time, caring for mom I’m really, really tied to the house. This boom gives me pleasure and headaches and stress and laughs and tears and a lot of other emotions on any given day. In other words, a bit more life in my life. I‘m appreciative of all of you. Thank you.

I’m going to put my feet up now for the stress I put myself under due to the wrong shipping dates. You know me, a rules gal. I hope Usps gets that fixed well before the next Boom. I’m going to take a couple of days off and then start working on the Joanelizbay blocks that came in. Time to start on a plan for them in the break.

Later, Laters!

It will be exciting to get these blocks back, really think this quilt will work up to be beautiful! Kind of slow going here, lots of doctors, labs and a gammit of tests that they have run. Seems the chemo played havoc with my body but they are trying to figure out if it's the lungs or the heart. After cardiologist today and more tests, I should have an answer tomorrow. Right now I have to be on oxygen until they figure it out, I hope this isn't forever...it's a pain! One day at a time they say
Thanks for all your work Janice, you enable these Boom swaps to go so smoothly and it's a pleasure to participate in them.
Will try to be on here a little more often, it takes me twice as long to do anything anymore, thank heaven for retirement. Just still get tired pretty easy, they say because of all the weight loss.....any other time I'd be happy with that. Losing about a pound a day this last week, down to 140lbs. and need some smaller clothes really bad but am waiting to see if it will stabilixe before I get up the energy to go on a buying trip. Hubby says my underwear looks like the old fashioned bloomers

Jaba, so sorry about the problems. Will pray the oxygen is only temporary and the weight loss will stop. Hope you feel much better soon!

Janice, I hope your Mom is doing well. You will never regret this time spent with her. You must be ready for a well deserved break from 'booming'.

Looking forward to some finished quilts here, once you all get your blocks. I will have a finish any day now, to post in Sooner. I have a top that only needs quilting, and I plan to keep it minimal.

Thank you, Janice for your kindness and generosity in managing the Booms.

I think I'm addicted! Haven't picked out fabric for 23 but have plenty to shop my stash.

I have another round of that out-patient surgery on my esophagus on Thursday. I'm so grateful for my wonderful friend who drives me 300 miles back and forth to University Hospital in Ann Arbor. I think this is the fourth time; don't know how many more times I'll have to go back. Doc says it's "several."

Best part is I have an excuse to "take it easy" for a few weeks after.

Janice, being a caregiver is hard work, but you will never regret doing it for someone that you love. You will always know that you gave it your all when it really mattered. Just don't forget that you need some down time for your health too.
Jaba, sorry you're having a rough time overcoming the chemo. Hopefully the oxygen will give you the added boost you need to help you over the hump to feeling better. I'm keeping you in my prayers.
AnnieQuilts, sending you healing thoughts too. Lucky you to have such a special friend who's there for you when she's needed.
I'm still working on the baby quilt. I should have it finished before my blocks get here tomorrow. I'll post a pic when it's done.
