Count me in for boom 24. The 3 month group. I don't want to over extend myself here. Of course I will be watching for the sign up on Feb 10.

Just wanted to give everyone an update as I have not been around. On January 7 I had surgery for remove the back of vertebrae from 5 vertebrae and fuse C3-T1. My spinal chord was being compressed and I was numb all over. Surgery went great and I was up and walking. On January 9 I was ready to be released and I got a horrible headache. I was put in ICU flat on my back for 12 days. I had a spinal fluid leak. I had a second and third surgery on Jan. 14 and 15. I was finally home on January 24.

At midnight on January 26 I could not get my breath and was literally dying. My O2 was in the low 80s. The paramedic told the ambulance driver, "We have to go to UCDMC. She will not make it to Kaiser." I had a pulmonary embolism. The blood clot took my half my right lung. Additionally I have two clots in my left lung and two in each leg, below the knees. I was in ICU for another 4 days.

I am now at home on anticoagulants. I feel pretty good but have to build stamina. I get tired very easy.

Yesterday I had enough energy and made my grandson a t-shirt for his 3rd birthday.

Good heavens, Hav, I cannot imagine how difficult these last weeks have been for you. Be sure to allow yourself plenty of recuperation time. Big, but gentle, hugs for you. (((((Hav))))).

Have4boys you are now in my prayers big time! what an ordeal you are going though. Don't over do things as you recover watch your body and what it is telling you closely. Don't take any added risk. Everything can be on hold until you are more clear headed and walking safely. Be safe and big ((((hugs)))!
