Packages bagged and info included. Hope to get them to the post office ASAP. Tomorrow is a busy day in my little world but I will do my best to get the package out tomorrow or Thursday at the latest. I am muttering to myself, "Don't forget the money. Don't forget the money."

I am a bit bummed. I ordered 4 yards of the green fabric and there was only 2. So I am sending 4 packages of foods and I will make the blocks into extra large hot pads for my kitchen.

I made it to the new group. Loving all the fabrics posted so far. My blocks will make it in the mail on Saturday as I have to wait on payday on Friday. That gives them a week to travel. Good Night all.

I probably forgot to post them... and I'm too lazy to go searching!

Ibex sorry you won’t be joining us.

Janice this is my second fabric.

Pretty gloomy looking day here in southern Texas. Hope some of you are seeing the sun

Lstew and WMUTeach, no worries! I cannot even begin to deal with the packages until mid-week next week. My son is taking over my sorting room - aka the spare room - for a few days.

Terriamn, I’ll put your pic in shortly. It’s cold here but sunny. We only got some heavy wind and rain from the storm that hit the NE. Lucky.

Hav, too bad about the stunning green fabric but your solution is great. Gives us a bit more variation, too.

edited to add: I looked up from posting to see Rip on the little sofa that holds a Boom Quilt. It’s from several years ago but some of you would have made blocks for it. She still knows how to find the best spots to nap!

I’ll be lurking and looking at all the beautiful blocks made. I’m looking forward to jumping into the next boom. I miss the creative aspects and friends I make in the boom. I have some friends from college (Georgia Tech) that are coming this weekend and I hope we can do a sewing bee and get one of my boom quilts pieced into a top. I’m trying to reduce the number of UFO’s I have.

I also have been making a lot of clothes. It’s been very challenging and fun. My quilting skills are definitely an asset. See below for the pants and shirt I made last week.

As far as my heart goes (yep I’m an exercise physiologist who eats well but still had a massive heart attack in June) it’s getting better. It will never be anywhere near back to normal but it’s certainly better than it was this past summer. My heart is functioning at about 2/3 capacity. My disability parking pass got upgraded from temporary to permanent (which was a disappointment). That being said, I’m going out to play two hours of doubles tennis today. The doctor told me you must’ve been some specimen before this heart attack. The good thing is I was overwhelmed with how my kids, sisters and friends pulled together and spent a lot of time with me and helped out when we weren’t sure what the outcome would be. I felt so well loved.
