Good morning. Another frigid morning and there’s talk of snow this coming weekend. We’ll see.

SBG, glad you are safely home from LA. Your idea about the jar openers is splendid. Please show us when you are done.

Ditto on the jar openers! Who doesn't need one of those from time to time and with your shrip or crawdads and boats theme, fun!

SusieQ beautiful cross stitch! I am always amazed these, so much work!

Sewbiz glad you made it home safe and sound. The Cajun jar openers is a great idea, should make a couple for myself for when hubby isn’t home.

Yesterday 3 of us went to the new fabric/ craft store, Parisia. The cotton fabrics are 4.99 and they actually felt good, the flannel was the same price but the couple I picked up were way too thin. Like Joann’s they have beading, stamping and paint supplies. If you used microfiber fabrics, they had a ton of them and lots and lots of fabric for tablecloth for in and outside. My only purchase was a couple blenders to see how they was up. No licensed designs. Very fun and interesting place to wander around.

Good morning. It’s looking like we might have snow this weekend. We’ll see.

SusieQ, lovely cross stitch pieces. Love the sampler! Samplers were my favorite kind of piece to XS. Yours is beautiful. How I miss it still.

Terriamn, how fun to explore a new store. Our LQS has raised prices on all fabrics. Not a surprise, but ouch!

Happy to report I’m walking almost every day, even in this cold. Need to ramp up the speed a bit but I often walk with a friend who is having knee troubles so together we walk slowly…but it’s still a nice walk.

Have a pleasant day!

Hello from AZ. Arrived back to home base yesterday. We had a wonderful two weeks in the desert with old and new friends. This year was perfect for sunsets and fires, warm enough to socialize outside and of course potlucks. We had about 60 people over the week of our Christian Fellowship RV rally and so many laughs.
We were getting ready to move to empty our tanks when when we heard a huge boom - the serpentine belt broke in the diesel making it non driveable. Thank God we have towing insurance as the nearest engine shop was 150miles from us. DH is still with coach while I drove the two hours home with dog and laundry!
I haven't even looked at sewing in over two weeks, and now not even sure where to start or continue on!

Welcome home, TG. So glad you had a wonderful time with your RV friends, old and new. Dear friends just make life sing. I am sure after you will take a big breath you'll find something quilty call your name and away you will go while you await the return of hubby and your ailing home away from home.

I had to share this with you all. We went to a miniature museum while in Tucson. The musuem wasn't miniature but filled with dollhouses in all shapes and sizes. Some of the oldest were called inventory houses where they would replicate the entire homes with all their things into dollhouse size.
Of course all I could see is the tapestry and quilts and fabrics etc - oh my. I looked at the rugs which were woven with strings. Amazing.
Then I came across this mini room - and I was blown away. The loom is only inches in size and actually works. She made all the wall and floor tapestry on the loom. And people comment on postage stamp quilts!
Have a great day

TG, happy you are home safely and that you had a grand two weeks. Sorry to hear about the RV problems. Hope it’s resolved soon. Just love the miniatures. Look at those shuttles. Imagine trying to weave on the loom! Thank you for sharing the pix.

Now it’s looking like freezing rain here over the weekend. Messy! The grands will be staying home instead of visiting us overnight. No driving in that.

Stay warm where you are.
