What a cute idea Rach! Makes me wish I had kids or at least neighbors so I could borrow one...but I don't so I'll enjoy watching the posting of the cute quilts!

Here is the current sign-up list:

    Sophia – 11
    K – 5
    Joey – 7
    Cute Buns girl – 15
    Cute Buns boy – 13
    Cute Buns girl – 12
    YouMe girl – 11
    Youme son - 9
    BeckyW – granddaughter Hallie – 10
    Gynn’s son – 13
    Amazon’s daughter – 12

We are at 11 kids and I hope there is one more joining, just waiting to get clearance from the parent! If one more doesn't sign up, K has offered to find another child for swapping, and also Gwyn has offered to swap too! My preference is to keep this pure kid, in other words, I'd rather take up another child's offer first, that way the kid is getting the work of another child...

That said, I do believe you are on to something Gwyn....perhaps after the holidays we can come up with some sort of adult/child swap? That might be lots of fun too. Or, partners, or something like that. Let's put on our thinking caps...

I can't think of a single kid to join with. I wish I could. This sounds like such fun!!!

Boots is a quilter, eh? I have a feeling that the "mom" will be doing more of the work. It's like the Cub Scout cake bake where all the kids bring in their own creations and one lone cake sits there and looks like a wedding cake. Tries to pass off as the kids work but we all know the truth...

    silly girls.

The way you worded the beginning of this thread, it sounded like you were pairing them up with an adult quilter, Not their kid, my kids are up for anything, though they are excited about maybe getting something from a 5 year old.

THe kids are raring to go and want to work on their stuff this weekend, so come on and get pairing,

Oh CuteBuns, I am so sorry if you misunderstood??? Are the kids really okay with kid partners? I'm thinking of matching ages as closely as possible rather than just random drawing...Are you guys okay with that? I can do random just as easily...please chime in asap so I can get the names paired up today if possible! I'm leaving for work shortly and will not be able to do this until this evening (pacific time), so please comment!

I just went back and re-read the beginning and can see why you were confused. Sorry about that. The idea was the adult is a member of our board, and they are the "responsible" one to be sure the child participates, does the mailing, support, etc. the actual quilt exchange is between the kids.

If anyone else did not understand this, I'm sorry for the confusion!!
