My daughter is late (naturally, the person who started the swap is late, right!) However, we are in luck. Her partner, Fu (youme's daughter) is running behind too, so we are on the same page and no one is unhappy! So, it's all good.

I think you should NOT post your final photo in this section (your PDA's should be fine, they are a bit more private!) - let the recipient post their new quilt along with their thank you's. I think that's part of the fun for them, not to mention a lesson in etiquette, etc. :) This whole thing is a great learning process and family experience for our children. More than one "lesson" in this project for sure.

Thanks again to all the participants.

Alannah's is done and posted. YIPEEEE. It was a bit of a struggle with everything that she has on at the moment but she did it. I am proud of her effort and we have learned alot from it. She would love to do another one but not until about April next year. What with Scout Jamboree,(January) school camp(February) and our annual family holidays(March)she just won't get the time. Kid's have the life don't they LOL
We are both looking to seeing everyone's quilts

Sorry, I didn't see the post asking for my daughter's name. It is Kaylee.

She made her quilt this evening. I know it'll be a day late going in the mail but should get there this week. She had lots of fun and did really well. Its probably been over a year since she's used the sewing machine but she picked it right up. I had her tie it. My camera batteries died, so I'll post pics as soon as they are charged.
Colletta you did send me Kaylee's info but I forgot to ask Becky W for her granddaughter's name. I have Becky's address and our quilts are ready to go out in the morning.

I never could wait for anything! I had to go see! So cute! Rachel will love it! I don't know what you and Kaylee will think of Rachel's choices of fabric but I let her use her choices! LOL Not what I would have chosen but it looks good.

I didn't want to spill the beans to Kaylee but if you want to see Rachel's I posted it on my PDA.

I discovered these cute buttons at Walmart a couple of months ago and have included some in my DQs that I sent out. I picked up some more the other day and when the kids did their quilts they got interested in putting fun buttons on their quilts. I haven't ever done much embellishments before because what I make gets washed a lot. Checkbook covers coin purses etc. But these buttons are so much fun!!
They had some that looked like flipflops and there were kid's hands and ladybugs and some really cool shapes and sizes. Love them!
