Sharon you seem to read my mind. I actually thought appliqué as I pushed POST. I have until mid February yo make the square. My sisters and I are each making one and surprising our daddy with a quilt for his birthday the end of march. And you know how sisters are. No matter what they say, it's turned into a competition HAHA. I was thinking something with Texas prints for mine. And then thought hat. That's all I have so far…(what are the chances any of my sisters read my posts here?) LOL

TOO MUCH FUN!!! You totally have to post a picture when you are done!!! Hmmm...do you want like a cowboy hat, a derby hat, a tall Cat in the Hat kind of hat, one of those fancy hats for the Kentucky Derby (however for your dad...probably not), baseball hat, stocking hat, santa hat, sombrero, a beret??????

LoL Well, I was thinking something cowboy/gardener. I thumbed through those quilt across Texas patterns and there's actually a pieced Ten Gallon Hat. Ooooo he lives in Idaho… I'll get some of that potato print too !!! Lol

HEY the sisters did say I can make as many squares as I want. I was only going to make one because oldest sister was getting snotty… BUT how about a hat for each corner!! Sombrero would work too. And I veagly remember a pic of him as a young man in one of those grey business suit like ones. Is that a derby?

Hats hats- sounds like so-o-o-o much fun SheriR. Competition among sisters is fun- and of course, you are the "best" one

Luv- looks like a long month- I'll keep track of you just like the kids track Santa on Christmas Eve.

Mitesa- keep that Lil man out from under the tree No peeking now

Now regarding the PARTY TIME- Let's go .

Off to get some more projects done- Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat won't you please put a penny in the old man's hat? ( need a new radiator for the van- Santa are you listening? )
For now - Me, the rebel who is way behind in the project area
