That's super sweet! What a doll baby!

Dancing was what they did to entertain the troops. Both married military men. I still have the beads mom wore when she danced. My girls have used them often for a "roaring 20's " costume- fringe and all

... I LOVED LOVED LOVED them kisses & hugs! And they were much appreciated! I went & had my MRI (& super yummy lunch & fabric shopping... yay!) today. I won't know anything about it till Monday probably because since my MD is pregnant, she takes Fridays off (if I were her, I'd take Monday thru Friday off so I didn't have to listen to whiners like me, but... that's just me). So, until I hear anything, I think I'll just remain deep in denial.
Have any of y'all had an MRI? They are very, very loud & annoying. And tiny. And as I was encased in this large machine, I wondered if that was what it felt like to be married to me... bombarded by a tiny, noisy, annoying thing. What do you think?

I'll keep you kids & kiddies all apprised. I feel good enough to get all my fabrics fumbled & ironed & cut & around tomorrow.

Thank you for being so sweet to me. You gals rock!!! Each & every single one of you! And I love y'all & there ain't nothin' you can do about it!

Only difference is its mostly organized and clean (do tiny dust bunnies count??..)...and, I will always be "fixing to" quilt with all of it...LOL...

OMG! Maybe THAT'S what's wrong with me... CT withdrawl! I don't think machines can show that. But we know it's a real malady, right?

Thank you so much for your sweet words & good thoughts. As my DH would say "I appreciate ya".

You have a ROOM with your fabric? I have half a full basement, a room upstairs, & part of a triple-car garage. And part of a shed in the backyard. And I cannot find a single thing in all that yumminess! Maybe we should shop in each other's stash? Fun!

I know what you mean about showing up on "Hoarders". After looking at how dusty my mini-blinds were this PM, I'm just afraid the doorbell will ring & it'll either be that TV crew or the Health Department... yikes!

That is such a cool story! I'm so happy you have such great memories of them.

Are we flappers? I know I've been accused of flappin' my gums entirely too much...

You crack me up!! I mean I would be laughing louder, but don't want to wake the neighbors!! And, we live in the country, on acreage, so neighbors aren't really close...lol! You are keeping a great attitude! I have had a full body MRI, and you are right about it all...when the piped in voice would say the next part would be "90 seconds, or 2 minutes, etc." I caught myself singing hymns, row row row your boat, even Happy Birthday trying to distract myself and help time when I could "wriggle" around again..lol...And, when you wondered if the MRI is like being married to you, and went on to describe it, I have to tell you that you describe me to a T...and I am sure my poor dh would agree, thought not out loud...well, maybe not out loud ..haha. Hope you can get some rest this week-end, and that you get wonderful news soon!
K

Ok, y'all are killing me this morning!!! Went to bed with a BAD migraine yesterday. It his so fast and suddenly, I had just picked lil man up from daycare and walked outside and blacked out, I fell and dropped him...thankfully we are both ok just a few skinned up knees. I've had TONS of MRI's done. The worst was the one where they told me the whole thing would take over 2 hours total. Yep...on portion was like 35 minutes...well, yours truly flinched at around the 33-1/2 minute mark and had to start all over again. So 3-1/2 hours later I was walking out, my dad look panicked because no one informed him of what was going on and what was taking so long. Ahhh...gotta love hospitals and how they run things. Now...when they did my MRI on my knee, let me tell you best experience ever. They put me in one of those open MRI machines, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Best way to go and no where near as loud. I still have nightmares sometimes of the bump, bump, thump thump, bump WHIRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

I'm praying for you burchquilts!!! You are a true enjoyment and blessing to have in this group and I'm SO glad you found us!!!

I guess I had better get back to work...ahhhh...the thing I must do to be able to pay bills and then more fabric.
