Dates Changed - 10.5" Layer Cake Squares Swap
Get ready for a 10.5” Layer Cake Swap!
Each set a swapper submits will have 12 different squares of any 1 (one) 100% cotton ANY colored quality quilting fabric (no flannel, no homespun, no eyelets, and no broadcloth) Keep in mind send what you would like to receive in return. Future swaps of specific color themes may take place in the future dependent on interest.
Squares should be carefully cut from 100% cotton fabric. Fabrics that fray easily or are fairly easy to see through are not good candidates for this swap.
Please be advised that fabrics that are not square, squares too wonky or too off grain, squares that are shedding, squares that contain selvages, or those that are not 10.5” or larger, will be returned unswapped.
Here’s how it works: - In your packet to me you will enclose:
* 1 gallon size Ziplock bag with 12 ct – 10.5” squares of one fabric for each set
* Selvages must be removed entirely from both selvage ends- Including selvage holes.
* Please remember that each set of 12 must be cut from different fabrics. The sets may be the same, but wouldn’t have to be, as long as each swapper gets 12 different fabrics.
* Number of sets are limited to six per padded flat-rate envelope. HOWEVER, if you wish to exchange more than six, you are allowed to send more than one envelope. Just be aware you will be needing to send enough postage to cover BOTH envelopes, not just the one. I will not be able to do “special” mailings with different envelopes to accommodate merging two full sets of exchanges. If this becomes an issue, we will just learn from it and limit the future swaps to what will fit in one flat-rate envelope
* Fabric can be washed or unwashed, but needs to be new looking and not faded; ironed and in gallon bags for safe passage thru USPS.
* Swap is limiting the number of holiday or licensed fabrics to one per bag, max.
* Try to swap fabrics that have not been swapped before to keep it fresh for those who participate in multiple swaps.
* Be sure to put your screen name on each baggie so the swappers know who to thank!
* Your screen name Must be on the outside of the package. Packages are not opened until it is time to redistribute (so I don’t lose anything!), and this helps me keep track of who has already been received.
* Please put your return postage of $7.55 in a sandwich baggie NOT in with fabric. I’ve had issues in the past, thanks! No personal checks, please. Please be sure to put your name and mailing address in with it.
* Sign up by Feb. 12th, fabric to me by Feb 25th, with redistribution by March 2nd.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Enjoy!
Chris

No. It says 12 different fabrics in each set. Unless you mean can each set have the same variety of 12, then yes. Don’t put any two of the same fabric in a ziplocksd set.

Update: I've pulled enough fabric from my stash for 12 sets (2 envelopes' worth). I'll try to not to make more than 6 sets identical for easier swapping.
In the event of duplicates, that's A-OK with me. You know me. I always love duplicates!
I'll iron, cut, and put the sets together when DH and I get back from our little "mountain escape" early next week.

This is a swap I would have loved to participate in!! But reading the dates , doesn't give me much time to go go thru my fabric, wash, iron, package etc lol. Have lots of fun drooling over your packages when you get them ladies, I will be envious.

I sent a PM to clarify the dates. That's only, like, 2 days to sign up, so I'm wondering if it was supposed to say March? I'm sure she'll get back to us right away.
