Thanks Rhonda, that makes sense. I'm in for a blue block. Just let me know which one of the 5 I did you want in blue.

That was just my take on it. Klue needs to give her opinion on this.

If the blues are going to be "separate", this would be a good opportunity to do/try a different one - if one is totally tired of the 18 one just did.

  Exactly what does that entail? So if I were to take a blue one, would I replace it with an original-colored one?
I was thinking we would make blue blocks to match.... just as an example - 9 of us make 2 blue blocks each, send them to obq to swap with hers.

The little melon thingy (and I used the size from the software) is to big, meaning it extends into the 1/4" seam line. Ok, so I redid it yesterday. Used kosmos instructions to the letter.. and guess what? They are still to big!!!
So I did the next best thing... I used Steam a seam 2 and got them all fixed, made sure that they didn't extend into the seam line (had to decrease the size of the melon thingy).... So now do I handstitch around the melon thingy, or do I machine stitch? And with what stitch? Here's what they look like..
I have had a @!%$#! of a time with my little diamonds. I too switched to the steam a seam 2 and using the smallest blanket stitch I can in matching thread and I think the look a heck of a lot better. They are just too small to hand sew and keep in place. My camera has been giving me issues but I will try to post tonight and see what everyone thinks
Cher
Cher.. I wanted to pull my hair out. Those blocks were just evil...*LOL* Can't wait to see your blocks..

what blue (the person) is suggesting is that we, as individuals, make another set but this time in blue fabric, then we would each get back 18 blue fabric blocks along with the standard green/red we been doing.

otherwise, no one has to do anything except just let me know that you are willing to take just 1 blue block.

this would mean, if you've done 1 set of green/red you will receive 17 red/green blocks and 1 blue.

blue's, (the person), idea would yield us enough blocks to make a small blue fabric project.

since its a new swap, we can choose blocks again, they would all be available to pick from, except the blue block that was just done, LOL
