I'm not in this swap but thought I would mention the Barnyard Bash BOM that I am participating in for patterns. Each month there is a new pattern, free for that month only, and then I think the retired month is $2 on her site, if anyone wants to check it out. I have made Dudley the dog, Freddie the frog, and this month Sally the sheep from her patterns (with a few changes) www.pumpkinpatchbc.com

I love the idea of this swap! I'm commenting so I remember to come back to the thread, but I'm going to try to make this happen.

My grampa raised cows, and this is a block I made for a quilt for my parents. It still needs the eyes and tail though. I could do a set of these in different fabric.

I love the cow! What size is your finished block? I'm curious.

Such a cute cow. I would have never thought of scissor fabric going so well on a cow, lol! I guess that is what one means when they sew until the cows come home

i did one a few years back. i had a jackaloupe, barn with a silo and a chicken in the top window, a fox chasing a chicken to a chicken coup worms, corn, beets, a watering trough, I crocheted a hay pile, and other things that are on a farm, oh, don't forget the farmer, mine was a chicken, food or feed for the animals, My border was a split rail fence keeping everything in o n the farm. Also a sun in one top corner and a cloud in the other, on the bottom part of the fence border was a funky cat, going to chase a funky rat. it's a hoot, and all appliqued. good luck everyone, and show us all your blocks.

I got the pattern from Craftsy (it's for a mug rug). They give directions for a 6 1/2" (unfinished) block and a 12 1/2" block (then they add sides for the mug rug to make it 6 1/2" x 9 1/2")

I think I did the 12 1/2" block for the one pictured.
