You gals are so sweet. We are actually inundated with the earthy aroma of Merle's apples ... and all the flies that come calling. lol

....now Daisies - that's another story.

You ladies are a hoot!

On a serious-ish note, is anyone allergic to wool? I was thinking of using some felted wool for my applique shape, since I am making sheep.... Dumb idea? Good idea? It is pricey, so want to make sure people like the idea, and the block won't be discarded because of the use of a bit of quilter's wool. I thought the idea was too clever, and now I am going back and forth about it.

That sounds like a cute idea but never having used it, is the wool washable after the quilt is made?
No allergies here.

You all watch out for my horse apples also! :D

my chihuahua is a great mouser. I came home one day and he had 6 mice and 1 rat all laid out in a row at the front door for me. He's a great farm dog.
I'm looking for a block...I haven't done applique and not sure I'm ready...will keep browsing as I get my strength back. I'm having fun following this thread even if I don't get to participate.

Could I do a frog block? Something pieced with frog fabric?

Hi, BRT - can you clarify the background fabric "rules", please, especially for appliqued blocks. ??Tan, off white, solid warm colors?? Thanks.
