Question???? What size do you usually make I spy play quilts? I think I made mine too big. The top is 45 X 60. Looking at it, it looks kind of big for a toddler to drag around.

The two "baby" quilts I've made have been about 36 x 45. I plan on doing my "drag around" blankets this size for a few reasons... I can usually get queen-sized batting at a good price, and I can cut one into six pieces for this size quilt. It's an easy size to carry around and lay on/under for most little kids. It's also a good size for kid picnics, tea parties, etc. And it's a good size for using in the car.

Another bonus-- I can buy one yard for my backing fabric, and just adjust the length to the width of that fabric.

We have 15 swappers - one more and we will have no duplicates in the swap! Glad to have as many as we do - as I said earlier, I was afraid holiday plans would cut down on the amount of swappers. Happy to have all of you!

Looks like you need another player to make 16... and I just got some new I Spy fabrics. I'll send you a pm, Rbwiese.

I like giving some different ways to make I Spy quilts - I like this Disappearing 9 Patch - a way to stretch the amount of I Spy squares needed.

I like how the borders separate the colors in this quilt.

Have a happy day!

Clmay - I received yours yesterday. Can't get my list marked off correctly on the first try! Sorry!

I usually just sew my squares together with no sashing. I like the "chaotic" look. This one is a "find the pairs" I Spy, with two of each print scattered throughout. It's an 8 x 10 layout (80 squares of 40 pairs) and comes out about 37 x 47" after binding.
