If I make my pin cushion with a top layer of fabric, a layer of batting and then a bottom layer of fabric, where do the crushed walnut shells go? Between the top layer and batting OR between the batting and bottom layer? And does it make a difference?

I'm not sure what you mean, but as walnut shells keep your pins sharper, I guess you wouldnt want the pins going thru the batting as well. Does that help?

That teapot is so cute! Marion...did you purchase a pattern or find it online? Or perhaps you're creative enough to whip it up without a pattern!!!

No I'm not that clever Michelle. a friend gave it to me and more, as a project. she's downsizing her scrap pile and knew I was making pin cushions. I have a few on hand now, but havent started Sept yet.
