Got up early, finished my two cushions and will be heading to the P.O. in the morning. A small hint: I picked my favorite thing about summer, and no. it is NOT sun!! We get enough of that all year round. Couldn't figure out anything summery that would have gone with my partners' wish list but hope they will like what I made.

On anolther note, I am really loving all the pincushions I have been seeing on this swap. They are so fun. So I am doing a pincushion swap at my quilting guild and we will do our first swap next month. Seems to have people interested, will see who brings in a cushion. I'm doing it that you bring in one or two cushions, and put your name in a jar for each cushion you brought in. At the break, I will draw names and you pick in order of having your name drawn.

And a P.S. someone asked me in a PM about my avatar -- it is a tutorial I did on this board.

Judy, I love your idea for your Guild. Wish my little town had one or that I was close enough to one. Think the closest is Paducah, KY. From Springfield, TN it's about a 2 hour drive one way. How does one start a Guild?

Paintmejudy, we had the most fun at our guild retreat this year- everyone made or bought a nice pincushion, and then we took the classic "white elephant" gift exchange and called it "rob your quilter" - used left, center, right dice, and passed in the indicated direction, and whoever rolled center got to steal a pincushion. We had a ton of fun and everyone went home with a great cushion.

Tracey, have no idea how to to this but I joined a guild with the AZ state's quilting society. Maybe your state quild could give you some info on how to start one. But a friend of mine in Oregon lives in a very small town and she is in a group that is informal, they meet once a month to quilt. Maybe that would work for you.

Dragon, I was going to do the "steal" system but I don't know how many are really going to participate in this so going to keep it simple for right now. If it takes off, I may do a different way to swap/snatch each month.

Mine are finished and ready to mail tomorrow. I won't show pictures because I have our hostess and I made one similar for quiltermomma. (Why spoil the surprise?) So please girls, post a pic when you receive it. I didn't take any knowing I couldn't post them. Enjoy! USPS Labels are all printed and ready to send them. My hubby got the biggest kick out of them.

Now... I wonder who got me? LOL...

Prayers go out to Louise. I got my partner, cut my fabric and hopefully it turns out lovely the first time and I don't have to try again. I am a still learning a lot but def wouldn't send anything that I wouldn't be proud to receive! Thanks for letting me participate and a big thanks to our hostess! I think people who say hurtful words should not be able to participate in public forums.

mailed out my 2 partners pin cushions, you should have it by Monday. I'm hoping it arrives all in one place.
one is going north of me, not to far, but still north.
the other is going west of me, but not to far, because you're supposed to get it monday too.
be on the lookout and I hope you can post a pic of it.
I love having themes, it makes me stretch my mind and gather new patterns. and look on bing for new ideas.
    Who else loves the themes??
