June 9 Patch Block Swap Signups
#161
Just thought I would share this pattern for 9-patches. I haven't seen this one yet. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/12/55...100e8161ec.jpg

I love your blocks, D.Henson! I like them wild!
Givio, that's a sweet pattern. There are so many patterns that use the 9Ps with white. Love the star blocks. You must be getting close with that quilt.
NZ, I really like that setting! I pinned it for future reference.

DHenson love your colorful blocks, such fun colors!
Givio, your stars are looking great! The constant butterscotch looking fabric will tie all of the stars together, they will look like they are just floating on your quilt. Or do you plan to add sashings?
Today I made 40 6 1/2" hour glass blocks to use with my 9 patches. I chose a soft taupe color and now fear that it may be too light against the colorful blocks. If I don't use them on this quilt I have an alternate plan B that I could use them on another quilt. Decisions, decisions!

Cheesehead, I started posting pictures of the star blocks on the previous swap thread. I've made several color backgrounds so far including shades of yellow, peach, blue, brown, the butterscotch, and I'm doing tan today. Did you see NZ's blocks posted on the first 9patch swap thread? She's using neutrals, pale backgrounds, and it looks very nice. What is the second color of your hourglass?

I'm betting on odds you girls will change your mind. :-) Another 20 blocks won't take a lot of effort, and if you add a bit to each 9patch after you get them back to make it bigger, then those extras will be enough for a whole other quilt! Just think! :-)
