I’ll try to get this all in one message

Granky, love your quilts.....how many more to go? They look like they were a lot of work but worth it when for your family.

R-sea, that wall hanging in so cute, the animals are adorable, also a lot of work to cut them all out and appliqué. Your friend will love it! I do, too.

Teen, this must be so hard for your mom to clear out everything. A 3 story house is BIG! Your quilt sounds nice and I hope you will post pictures. You must be excited to finally get to see your mom and your mother-in-law. This quarantine is getting old! We are thinking about downsizing, too, but I have so much junk in this big house that I don’t know where to start.

And Rhonda, that’s 10 more since the last time we communicated. Great job so far and I know you will reach your goal. You look like a high school girl in your cap and gown, congratulations on reaching another of your goals. Just keep doing what you’ve been doing and before you know it...success!

As for us here in Ohio, nice weather can’t get here soon enough. We’ve been pretty good. No COVID at least and glad about that. We don’t go anywhere and I am so stir crazy as is Cliff. He had a bad spell in March and we made a trip to the hospital for another stent. That’s #4 in his heart now but he’s still very mobile and very ornery. I’m so very thankful for that.
Have many wall hanging ideas going through my mind but haven’t started yet. Guess I better hurry June will be here before I know it.

IHappy Graduation, Rhonda!! I think that is so cool that the RN’s celebrated something so important... we are proud of you and hope you can continue to do so well...fantastic picture.... those grand babies need you....and we do too! So keep up the progress! Big Hug!!

R-Sea....love your farm wall hanging! Exceptional work...geesh... she should love this...

Skaduzy....downsizing is an overwhelming process, for sure. I can hear it in my mom’s voice when I call...I’m so grateful that two of my siblings are local to her and are doing most of the work. She officially vacates and moves in with sister over Mother’s Day weekend. I’ll be back to help with selling off the contents and putting the house on the market. I call everyday..twice a day...to interrupt her day so she doesn’t do too much....our calls last an hour so I feel better knowing my calls force her to rest. Anywhooo...it’s almost over... I’m glad to hear Cliff is doing well....that trip to hospital was scary, I bet. We take lots of roads trips to see our new home state to avoid the stir crazies! Having a new home has helped since we spend time with projects. This week...fencing for 3 acres of pasture. Michael teases me that we are going to start raising goats. NOT! Lol... hang in there and continue to keep safe!

Thank you my friends I am so blessed with such wonderful people in my life here and in real life. I so enjoy all that you gals create and all you discuss here!! As I always say you make this swap stay alive with your conversations and pictures.

I am trying to downsize too. I have had boxes piled at one end of my table for a long time. My grandson built a large closet for me and I filled it but still have stuff to find a home for. I am so tired of walking around STUFF LOL
I know it is hard to make decisions. We live in a small home and I am a terrible horrible collector LOL And when my mom moves something out of her house it ends up in mine more often than not! I just have to grit my teeth and let go of things that aren't really that important to me.

I want to get a recumbent exercise bike for both hubby and me. So I do have motivation to get my self in gear to sort and get rid of stuff to make room for the recumbant bike. this is the kind that has a real seat to it not a small bike seat. My seat won't fit on a regular bike seat any more LOL So this one you are sitting and working your legs and arms. I fell in love iwth the NuStep one in therapy the first time I did therapy on my knee 5 yrs ago. This time with my breathing problems this is the perfect answer for me. I also have a treadmill so both will help a lot. So just have to push myself to walk on the treadmill more.

The Midwest had an unexpected snow fall this morning. I get up about noon so I never saw it. It melted soon after landing. thank goodness! LOL We want flowers and warm weather and NO MORE SNOW LOL

Has anyone of you been in a Round Robin before and or hosted one? I am hosting one on one of my groups and the problem came up where one lady is a heavy smoker and one of the ladies in her group is highly allergic to the point it closes her throat. so I had her send that round to me.

how do you deal with smells in the fabrics you receive in a swap? I've never really had this problem before.
In this swap we had one lady who was allergic to cats and she would have her husband run the vacuum over her pkg before she opened it. I just avoided giving her anyone who smoked.

I am going to go check out some of the Round Robin rules on here. I did take over and host one for a friend when she was away from the group one year but that was not for very long. And that was a long time ago

any tips or ideas? thanks!

If people have a severe allergy then they should not receive from what is causing their issues, smoking, cat, etc.. If I am concerned I let hubby open something and I can wash or vacuum it or hang it on the porch. I also think if you are that allergic, anaphalactic, maybe a swap is not for you.

Thanks Anna I plan to be more specific in the rules in the future.
Actually the gal that was allergic did try to soak the fabric she laid it out in the sun and that didn't work. She tried several products and when I got the fabric it still reeked of nicotine. I laid it in front of my fan not really thinking about it and left it there a few days. When I picked it up the fan did a pretty good job at getting rid of the smell, the fabric was just a few inches in front of my fan on the same level . I didn't know a fan could help get rid of the smell that way but it did help a lot.
