May 2012 doll quilt swap - theme: Quilty chaos - crazy quilt - deadline noon est 4/30
#385
Krisb.....how brave to use other materials like satin... I wasn't that brave. But I finally did finish the top and I am now quilting mine. Sigh who knew how long it takes to do a crazy quilt. That $70,000 dollar quilt is starting to look like a real bargain.
I voted for Number 5

Oh darn it! I thought I was going to be done with my crazy quilt and then I saw an ad for an embroidery machine set. *sigh* ... now what to do? Take a look.

I posted this in another thread and Krystyna asked me to post here. I was inspired by Moonrise's quilt and made one to keep, but because I wasn't swapping it, wasn't sure if it was okay to post here. Anyway, it doesn't have embroider work but does have some lace and a few embellishments. Hope you like it!

Ronda, it is GORGEOUS! You are so incredibly talented. Just as well that you weren't in the swap. I have the feeling you'll want to hang onto that one for yourself.
I just love what everyone is doing this month. I know it was a tough challenge for many of us, but we're pushing the edges of our personal envelope and look at the marvelous results. Don't forget to put your photos up in our little group album!
Thanks for all the votes. I don't know why, but I really want to win this silly contest. I guess it's just validation that some of what I do is worthwhile. So thank you.
