thank you all for the comments. the block i made for paintmejudy is called dutch rose. although it has many pieces it is essentially hst's and flying geese. i got it from "quick & easy block tool", by c & t publishing. one of my favorite quilting tools. it really does make blocks quick and easy.

I got a new block! The colors are great, Karen sent along some of the blue desert print for me to use too! This one is from Karen. She says its called Attic Windows. I have never seen this block before, will have to check it out. I have a mess of blocks that family members made at the family reunion. I making into a quilt to raffle off for the family fund, have been looking for the right block for months, This might be the one. Thanks Karen :thumbup:

Great blocks. I love that dragon fabric, I used it on my nephew's quilt that I gave him for his graduation from High school.
