YEA!!! A fellow Nebraskan I've seen you in 1 or 2 of the other swaps I am in. I like your avatar, it's cute.

I do most of my quilt shopping at The Quilting Place on 119th. It is very close to where I work and Jackie the owner is WONDERFUL. She has Long Arm Machines and does certification classes so that we can Long Arm our own items.
She has ladies from all experience levels in and out of there and they are a great help. Sometimes I just take a project I am working on at home and go in to the Quilting Place and work there with her tools and knowledge. It only costs me $5 for THE WHOLE DAY!! She even has fabrics and buys from people who are de-stashing (so reasonable.)
You are right about the measuring though. I tell ya, I can measure something 6 times and have it read different every time. Must be how I hold my head
Holler the next time you make it this way!
Dorothy

My daughters live in Omaha so they always are willing to take me to different stores. You have a blessed week.

hi Dorothy, I agree it's nice when there is someone from your state. How long have you lived in Ne? I've been here all my life. I live now in N.E. but use to live out by Valentine ranching. It sounds like so much fun at The Quilting Place. I wish we had something like that here but we are such a small town there isn't much like that around here. We have to drive to Sioux City or West Point to have access to a quilting place that you can learn things. West Point isn't that far away, it's about 18 mi South of here. Oh my gosh I am having so much fun with this S.S. swap. I'm finding all kinds of things to send in the box. I'm still working on my homemade gift. Have you got the measuring down? I have not but I do think it's better. (I think!!) It would be fun to meet wouldn't it? I will give you a holler next time I'm down there for a weekend. You have an awesome week and happy quilting. I forgot I hadn't posted the block I received from my Sept partner, Mrs Shak. It is so pretty. Thanks a bunch.

Sweet! I may have to change my theme when we start up again! Just call me copycat, or maybe I know a good thing when I see it. I think these blocks would go to together better for completed top. They seem very versatile.

I really like how these blocks are coming together - it's something totally different than what I usually go for.. I've lain them out in a couple designs, neat to work w/them.. Just copy away, the say 'copying' is the nicest form of flattery..lolo I also find they are fun to make..
