November 2014 - February 2015 Wall Hanging Swap
#321
I think I have an idea for my next wall hanging swap. This has been so fun, not having any pesky rules, doing what you like.
Cogito, sorry about the injury, your wh sure is pretty, I look forward to next swap w/ you.
Caroline, we love pictures.

Cogito, so sorry to hear about the broken bone - I also never had a broken bone - came really close when I fell in the shower and fractured the ball and socket of my shoulder. That hurt like you can't believe - it also had to be put back in place. Anyway, I love what you made, it's absolutely beautiful.

Oh Cognito I am so sorry. You must be so bored. Hopefully you will be healed in time for spring! Caroline, glad you are sending a WH.I love seeing international work. Hey gang my WH still needs a name!

As requested, it was a mug rug that I sent to Brat as a thank you for organising the swap. Will I show the wall hanging before I send it....lol errrrrr, maybe I will post a section and keep you all guessing about the full item - LOL LOL LOL.
Hugs

Just popping in again to post a picture of the finished
" Corn Maze for a Blonde"

I added some embroidery lettering that I liked from a earlier post about doing signature blocks. It is done in red and black but the picture doesn't show it well. I didn't want the lettering to overpower the piece.

The back to show the true colors

the quilting. I outlined the center stalk and then mimicked one on each side and then kept the border simple so it wasn't over done.

It makes me chuckle every time I look at it. Hope you enjoy it too.
Make your week a good one.

Okay J, you can be in the club.
I can't help myself and want to share another picture of the view from my sewing room window. I stayed home from work today due to the ice. I was glad I did.

And a little chipmunk popped out of a tunnel too!

Got my wallhanging finished - took a picture and will post tomorrow. I actually made 2 - the first one (and I took a pic of that also) looked blah - just didn't know what to do to jazz it up, so I made another one, and it's totally different from the original one I made. Maybe when you guys see the one I'm not happy with, you can give me some ideas on how to jazz it up.
