I have to sit out this month *cry* cause I have so much to get done by December, and well.. I'm broke. Ha! But had some interviews for jobs set up. I hope I will be back for December's swap. But it doesn't mean I won't be watching and helping knuckle whack for Lori. So ya'll better be good and send those PM's and send packages on time. I'm watching you *makes fingers to eyes motions*

I'm in going to send my info in a minute.
Ana after this month I bet Lori would appreciate a what was it you said(?), oh yeah a knuckle whacker. Poor Lori. sorry you won't be able to play along this month though, hope you have good luck with the job hunt, be sure to chime in and hope you are back in it in Dec, or at the very least Jan-Yikes!! only 2 months to the new year.
Knitette that was great that you mentioned some of your special days for November. Yes Internat'l swappers feel free to post any kind of info like that on the thread-it all helps.
And I think most everyone here likes a surprise so newbies don't fret, send a nice package, don't feel you need to out do anyone, and remember, you might send something that is your favorite thing to use and it maybe something your pal had never seen before. That is where a little comment about it in the note is helpful too.
After all if someone didn't like surprises wouldn't they just go get what they wanted at the store or online?
Surprise Rules! Let's have some thankful fun!

This month is going to kind of different, if you don't send out the pms' when you are suppose to you will be banned for one month. All new peopeple are going to be asked if they read the rules so there no excuses. Sorry to have to play so mean. Lori

Oh I will definitely chime in and I will definitely be back soon. Running my own swap for the first time too so focusing on keeping that straight and organized. Interview tomorrow for a temp agency. Hate interviewing but they have some promising positions that I know I'm well qualified for. It would be amazing if people would let me do email interviews I could ace those.

Lori, I understand your "playing mean", but rules are important - and if one is missing a package, it's very frustrating, to say the least. Call on your henchwoman, Ana and she can use her muscle to get your malingerers in line! I'm getting the basics ready for my box today and will customize it once I get my name. Stay safe with this storm everyone. (and I will PM when I mail it)

Thanks for the update on Krystyna, Ladybug. Prayers are with her and all of those that are suffering. I moved from NJ just 3 years ago and am sick with what I am seeing on the tv and what I am hearing from my friends in NYC and NJ. There are simply no words!

Rosemary, Thank you for your update on Krystyna. If anyone has info regarding any of our other members, please pass it on. I think I can safely say that we all are very concerned about the people on the east coast. It is really devastating.

More later.... I certainly wish there was more I could do. But right now I guess prayers will help... I havn'et heard anything else, last night she said they were stilll in their house and they were safe... I couldn't get on the board last night.. Anyone else has information please pass it on and please repost this to other boards that know Krystyna... Thanks... God Bless Rosemary

Good Morning ladies, I just saw that my dear soon to be mother in law was able to send out a text to miss ladybug 1938, she is right. There is nothing in our community. I am currently at my parents house with Blaze and they are fortunate enough to have water, electric, cable, cell service, internet and all of the finer things in life. They live in a village that has off of its own utilities. We are all alive and doing well. We lost every material object that we could, but more importantly, we are all alive and have each other. Blaze and I are heading back home in a little while and hopefully i can get Krystyna to come over to my parents house with me tonight for some dinner, and to help celebrate not only my dad's 64th birthday, but also that we are alive. But we thank everyone for your prayers and well wishes and we send out our prayers for all the other members on the board who live in destruction that is known as hurricane sandy. We hope that everyone is alright, and even though without power and all of that jazz that goes with this horrible event, are alive to cherish each other.

So glad to hear from Krystyna and Melissa and know that you are well! Know that you and everyone else suffering from the storm are in my prayers. Thank you for the update Rosemary. Melissa hope you can talk Krystyna and the rest of the family into taking a break and have a hot meal and a quick shower and try to relax for just a minute. Know how stressful hurricane clean up can be, my sisters house has been destroyed 3 times from hurricanes.

Just wanted you all to know that our News channels over here are continually broadcasting updates of the devastation and loss suffered by the Eastern seaboard and elsewhere. Glad to hear that everyone seems to be safe. Thinking of you all.

We are so glad to hear that y'all made it ok. I've lived thru a bunch of hurricanes, but nothing like Sandy. I'm not sure too many alive have, it's been such a giant "event". I know that you all have the resolute hearts to make it thru, but please take care of yourselves and be as kind to yourselves as you can amid the craziness. I wish we could send you a new house. I hope that aid is making it's way into your area and that very soon you will have a safe place to live again.
    hugs,
    Jo

Melissa so happy to hear from you, hope you get this before you leave, tell your mom that I'm praying The Chaplet of Divine Mercy.... for all of you... Yes Thank God you are all alive... I hope Krystyna goes with you even for a little while and maybe grabs a shower... Sending my love to all of you... Rosemary

So glad to hear that our Krystyna and her family are safe but so sorry about the destruction. Have had a similar but I fear not as disasterous as this experience. I can tell you first hand it is a very scarey and life changing experience. Please all be praying and sending up good thoughts for our wonderful friend Krystyna and her family.

Hello ladies! We are OK, but I am getting sick from the mold. I am tired. I've posted a bit on my QB blog. There is no help. No Red Cross. No FEMA. Hardly any cell coverage. Truck came in with food but the people from the projects grabbed multiple cases and then it was gone. This is like Katrina. I have never seen anything like it in my life. You wander around looking at strange objects and wonder, what the heck is this. I do think that my house will have to be torn down. I am not thinking clearly and just do not know what we will do next. A piece of a restaurant is in my driveway, some of the boardwalk, bits of houses here and there. And almost no one has a car. They were all destroyed and many went on fire. I have been pooping in a bucket. Oh! We did get some help. Someone put portosans in the streets. So now I can poop in the street. Everything is destroyed. Everything. But we are alive and God is good. Ladybug 1938 and RWQuilts have my cell phone numbers, but please don't call. Just text. Or you can get in touch with JauntyMelissa. OK. Thanks for the prayers.

Krystyna I am praying for you and everyone else that was in Sandys path. I wish I lived closer so I could take you in and you could have shelter. I am so so very sorry for everything you are going thru. I have pm;u experienced a hurricane once and never ever what to go thru anything like that againl We were on Emerald Island in an Rv and I was terrified. May God Bless you and everyone on the east coast.
