She sent me 4 cozy pairs of socks, a much, Bear Christmas ornament(love bears),pins, towel ,Raspberry lotion(yum), mango soap(yum), hobby lobby gift card, patterns, lots of fun fabric (yay), fabric bowl, reeces. Thanks for all of the wonderful items. Brightened my day and cant wait to use the material. I am trying to get back into the sewing thing and using my hand more since the surgery. Also she sent some recipes that sound so good. I really have never heard of buttermilk pie. Thanks so much again!

A package was delivered today and I wasn't home to sign for it
Will have to wait until Monday.

Buttermilk pie is our family favorite, it's the only desert that's being brought to our Thanksgiving dinner this year 35+ people , 5 pies, Probably not enough HA

Mom had two recipes for her pie, She's been gone 25 years. We never know which one she always used so we all just use both lol, and they taste the same.

BUTTERMILK PIE
2 uncooked pie shells
2 cups sugar
½ cup real butter (margarine will do)
3 Rounded Tablespoons flour
3 eggs, well beaten
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Cream butter and sugar together , Add flour and eggs. Beat well; Add buttermilk and flavoring.

Pour into uncooked pie shells. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
((*Optional* Sprinkle with freshly grated nutmeg))

Bake at 350’ for 45 to 50 minutes
Makes 2 – 9 inch pies
{{{{the other recipe has 2 tablespoons flour and 5 eggs}}}}

I received a lovely pkg from awf60, (Alison) on Friday but I havent been online. It contained jandmade dish cloth, thread, orphan blocks, fabric, Cowgirl Cabernet olive oil soap - it smells heavenly, notebook, twill tape labels - I have never used them before, embridery thread, Moda America Jane Pindot charm pack, Moda Color Theory mini charm pack. Lots of goodies in this package. Thanks again Alison!

Marietta, Does the pies taste strong of buttermilk? Just wondering as they look very easy to make.

Gaijin, I love those slider pencil cases. I have 2 I use in my traveling bag. I keep my pens/pencils in one, and the other holds seam ripper, olfa cutter, scissors. Just makes it easier to find then digging in my bag everytime.

Oh I forgot to list I received a recipe for Corn Casserole in my pkg from Alison. Which I don't have this recipe, so I am thrilled.

Marietta, thanks for the recipe. I can't wait to try it. I don't cook much so I didn't send a recipe sorry. I think I have forgotten all my good ones. Catjo, let us know how the Corn Casserole turned out. We love corn. BrendaK

I received a package Saturday from WBFrog. A yard of batik fabric, needles, and embroidery scissors. Thank you, Vontina.

catjo, I can't stand buttermilk, even the smell of it. If I didn't know the pie had buttermilk in it..I would never guess. This is my favorite pie, desert. I love, love chocolate, But if I had to pick between the two..the pie would win.
HA was talking to my cousin this morning and they have upped the pie number to 8
