My husband got it for me last Christmas. Here is how this came about. He has never been good with remembering Mother's Day. And then after I become very unhappy, he forgets my birthday two weeks later. Well two years ago he (AND my son) really outdid themselves. That Christmas I got a pair of 99 cent stretchy child's gloves. Yep. That's right. Needless to say, I was exceptionally hurt. We went to my sister's house for Christmas dinner. It is also her birthday. I wore those tiny child sized gloves all day. They came up halfway up my hands and the "crotch" of the fingers came up to my knuckle.

So ... after that not too happy Christmas, he started saving up his pennies. End result - embroidery machine. I never got anything that nice from him before, and probably never will again. This year for my birthday I bought myself a thread collection. I am making very good use of it.

And that's the end of that horrible story.

MY hubby and I have been married now soon to be 10 years. He is a horrible shopper, won't do it unless it is tools etc. Our first Christmas I planned for months to make it special for him, to find no packages under the tree for me. Needless to say, I was hurt. I finally realized, he just didn't know what to buy a woman, so I started buying my gifts from him while I was out shopping.

I am happy and He is happy. He doesn't mind spending the money just don't know what to get me. I buy it and when I get home I jump in his lap and thank him for it. No more hurt feelings.
;)

I am so spoiled this month--I am going to quilt retreat tomorrow for the weekend, come home Sunday late afternoon and get to go to another one the following weekend both are close to home so no great expense, the last weekend of the month will be in Butte, Mt for my DH back surgery and yes my machine is going with me--Oh I forgot I got a new machine last week--An Esante by Babylock and I love it and several of the gals that will be at retreat also have this same machine so I will get all my questions answered win win for me. If anyone has any advise for me I'll take it.

It is postmarked Mansfield so must be in upper or middle of state postal area. Mine would be postmarked from Cleveland. .....sorry :( I don't get one of the pups.
