"Once Upon a Time In My Garden" PP Block Swap with a "Twist"
#33
Alrighty ladies, today I'm gonna get started on this! I found my first block last night and I have all afternoon to work on it. I think it is a little topiary but I looked at so many I forget what I decided on! hehehe. I have to get the mulching done this morning then the rest of the day is mine!! I'll post a pic as soon as I am done with one.

Craft, a topiary sounds super cute! Can't wait to see it.
I have been working on some blocks. I just made a couple as I'm still in the "finding out what I want to do" phase. But here are the pictures. The snail is for the block swap and the ladybug is for the twist.

Welcome Anna! Of course Carol Doakes is one of the best known Paper Piecers...I own a book by Linda Causee called 100 Paper Pieced Quilt Blocks which includes a CD and the option to print out blocks from a 2" to an 8" size. There's a great section on garden blocks. I will likely use at least a couple of her designs. Maybe we can get a list going of possibilities, not to mention some of the free patterns on the internet. I'm working on a Carolina Lily right now and will post a picture when I get one block done. It's a bit time consuming.
