WMUTeach..........I was in Marshall Mi for the first time a few weeks ago. Forgot all about the quilt show. They have a wonderful quilt shop in Marshall did you happen to go to it?

Update on ....... me. Off to Indy tomorrow to help my daughter settle into a new apartment. A big change for her and for the better, I know. She will be near her children and that is a HUGE plus. Went to a quilt show this afternoon in Marshall, Michigan and saw some beauties. Of course my phone died and I have no pictures but lots of good memories. I left with some plans for new quilts, like I need some more. Right? I did finish a flimsy for an auction quilt last night but now I need to search for backing and then off to the long favorite long arm quilter! Retirement is such fun and so productive! Next is finish a UFO of.....2.5 sweet treats! |
Givio....sounds pretty much the same. But every year at the Ann Arbor festival has a terrible storm comes thru and makes everyone go running....customers as well as crafters.:shock:

Barb, No, I haven't been to the Ann Arbor Art Fair. I wonder if it's similar to the East Lansing Art Festival? There are a lot of booths around the Union Building on MSU's campus, and some of the city streets are closed off for booths too. It's been going on for more than 50 years, and it's pretty big! I've been to that one lots of times.

Thanks Sewbiz......it really hasn't hit me yet. Feels like I am on vacation right now. Probably next week it will really hit me that I am finished with my job.:(

All caught up with the mystery. It shouldn't have taken long but I discovered I had seen ALOT with no bobbin... Grrrrr :D Not sure why my "nearly empty bobbin warning" didn't go off.

Went to the quilt show in Sisters, Oregon, for the first time. It's HUGE! Lovely day for it. My own sister bought me some fat quarters and a pattern. And I bought a pattern that she was drooling over and the specialty rulers, and I'll make it for her for Xmas. (She doesn't quilt, but she likes looking.)

My mother-in-law had surgery on Monday. She is now home. They got the cancer and the bone came back clean. We are so thankful. Now she has to heal. They removed one tooth and less of the jaw bone so we are very thankful for that. *sign of relief.
