SheriR, I like the background you chose. It will be interesting to see that at the end, so I hope you keep up with the clues!

Thanks! It's a soft pale green. I hope it ends up looking nice! I'm all caught up with the clues and it really wasn't hard. I encourage any of you who haven't started to go ahead and join us. Barbs clues are very easy to understand. You'll love it!!!

Love seeing all your blocks SheriR.

Right not all my focus in on my Row-by-Row. I am hoping that I will have all my rows pieced/appliqued by the end of this weekend. Maybe if I get really lucky I will eve get it together and on the quilter. Then I think I will jump into the mystery. It looks like fun and I have tons of new candies to use.

All caught up with the mystery. It shouldn't have taken long but I discovered I had seen ALOT with no bobbin... Grrrrr :D Not sure why my "nearly empty bobbin warning" didn't go off.

WMUTeach..........I was in Marshall Mi for the first time a few weeks ago. Forgot all about the quilt show. They have a wonderful quilt shop in Marshall did you happen to go to it?

No to the quilt shop. We did not even think about it. It was Sunday and I assume they were closed. I have been there from time to time and it is indeed a fine shop. Such nice batiks! I have such a deep stash that I don't shop much except for backing. I am thinking of a run to Shipshewana in the next few weeks. Yoders' has a wonderful selection of 108 wide fabrics and I need a back for a quilt that will be donated for an auction. It is just about as far to Shipshewana as it is to Marshall! I feel like I am living in quilting heaven. So many good shops so close by.

I cut fabric for step three of our mystery quilt last night and did steps 4 and 5 this evening. Wow, it went so fast, why was I delaying? Step 6 is ready to go tomorrow morning. Then back to making 9 patches from my 2.5's from previous swaps. I shutter to think of all the 2.5's I have used since this swap started! :D Still working on my goal to use them all up before September arrives with new treats.

If you haven't started the mystery, I also agree with Sheri R, jump in. This is a quick mystery. Humm, maybe I should do two to use up some of my stash of 2.5 treats.

This is the show that Marie Bostwick (author of some good quilting books) attended. She shared some pictures on her web/blog site. Lovely work and displayed outdoors.

It's just disappointing, I'm always a procrastinator. I was extremely proud of myself because I had the birthday cards ready and mailed way early. And then one gets lost. Thanks for understanding. This is a great bunch of ladies. and I love this swap.

Hav4boys....this sounds like good news. I am happy for you and your family.
