Me too. Really, really small, like 1" or 1 1/2" .

sunrise450 02-26-2018 06:42 AM

I also thought a ps quit was made with 1.5" squares, all different. I have seen them made with our 2.5" charms and I thought them very pretty.

bjsmith57 02-26-2018 06:47 AM

Will do Barb.
FYI...JENNR8R's if it is returned to you...please do not worry about resending it out again to my new address:thumbup:

Yay! I can stop worrying about the poor little candies! :)

Faintly Artistic 02-26-2018 11:11 AM

bjsmith57, hopefully you have received my candies by now. I mailed last week and you and I are both in AZ. I did mail to the new address. I could have driven it there quicker than the mail! Weird how in state packages can take longer than those going cross country...

SheriR 02-26-2018 01:19 PM

I always thought 2.5" was included in the "stamp" category. But what do I know?

pinkflowers 02-26-2018 02:31 PM

March birthday babes - your candies were mailed today!

trish b 02-26-2018 10:15 PM

Since there are no quilt police on this board, our postage stamp quilts may be all of the tiny squares mentioned. We can laugh about it all day as we sew along.

One of the things I like to do with two and a half inch squares is just set them in rows with half-inch black sashing between, so they look like stained glass. This is one of the things I do as leaders and enders. In a fit of insanity I decided "Wouldn't it look cool to have little tiny cornerstones on those half-inch sashing rows?"So here I am cutting teeny tiny one-inch squares for half-inch cornerstones. I think that really qualifies for postage stamp!

I mailed a priority mail flat envelope to a town 40 miles away on a wed morn at 10 am. The ticket said it would arrive on Friday. The post master leaned across the counter and said, "ignore that estimate, your package will be there tomorrow (on Thur)". Great, it was a birthday gift. But she was wrong, it arrived the following Wednesday. one whole week to get to the next town over. When I mentioned it to the Post Master, she just shrugged her shoulders. Faintly, you are not alone. You could have driven, I could have walked! LOL

MizMelly 02-27-2018 05:12 AM

Same here! I mailed mine at the same time as Artistic and it hasn't arrived yet? How weird. Yep, I could have driven it there in 20 minutes! Well, maybe today it will show up?? This is truly what I call "snail mail"!!

Just packed up my craft stuff and fabric. I made sure I labeled the birthday box well so it will be the first one I open when we get moved! Just one question...can it be July next?!?

bjsmith57 02-27-2018 03:07 PM

Thank you for the follow-up. I am not located at the new mailing address location permanently yet; I will be checking the new location at least once a week and I will post a new list of all candies received each and every time I check the new location.

Please watch for an update again from me early next week

Thank you.

My March birthdays have been sent!

sunrise450 03-02-2018 08:47 AM

I would like to make the postage stamp quilt that someone sent the link to. Now I can't find the link. Would someone send it again? I knew there was a reason that I was saving all these tiny pieces!

Moonrise, I forgot to mention your cute little kitty buttons on your feedback score. I really like them, was so surprised!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Janice McC 03-02-2018 12:18 PM

Oops, forgot to mention I put the March birthday gals’ candy squares in the mail yesterday. You should have them shortly. :)

Jaba, No that is not it but thank you for taking the time to look it up. There are so many beautiful quilts on that page that I finally had to tear myself away or I would spend the rest of the day looking!

onaemtnest 03-06-2018 10:07 AM

I could not figure how my board name came up on the two birthday candies received list's as OB Onacmtnest? Where in the world did OB come from? Then it occurred to me that I put on the outside of the envelope QB Onaemtnest to identify that I'm from the Quilting Board then my board name!

My board name is a combination of my first name Onalee and the state of our home On a empty nest with both adult kids out of college and on their own....a very long time ago now but the moniker has stuck :0)

So anyone who may look at the list and wonder why they don't have OB Onacmtnest is me, Onaemtnest. ;0)

So I hear. My friend and her hubby caught it almost a month ago and she still hasn't fully recovered.

Armylady2012 03-07-2018 01:52 PM

hav4boys, that looks like a great way to use our candies, what is the name of the pattern?
