It is Scotties and I bought it as a download from AnniesCatalog.com.

That is such a cute pattern! It would be great as a charity quilt! I would intersperse the scotty dogs with kitties. Somewhere I have a pattern for a cat using 2.5" squares and a few triangles. Or make one up!!

I took my March birthday packages to the post office today, but they actually go out in tomorrow's mail.

I just hand surgery Feb 28, so I think I can mail candies tomorrow. Cutting has been interesting, to say the least. Feeling much better this week, stiches are out. Have a great week.

Just now watching MTQC tutorial for today and it would work with our swapping squares! I was thinking if one used two colorways with each block it could be interesting or.... follow her directions and use our little treats for the 9 patch. The name of today's tutorial.....Bordered Nine-Patch. Take a peek.

I will give it a try but not soon. I have a baby quilt to get finished by the end of the month. It will be going to Africa!

I know I still have time, but you should have my candies by now. I mailed them on March 1st. I may have just missed the post. I'm extremely busy with planning my sisters bridal shower, making center pieces, teaching at Michaels and completing a baby quilt. On top of all that it is still cold here with snow swirling all around. Well enough of that. I hope all is have a fine morning.

I love watching Jenny and her tutorials. I have made several of her quilts. She is teaching me how to do a bargello quilt right now.

I left my current hand quilting project out, so at least I have a little stress reliever at night! So looking forward to being done with this. We all agree that we don't want to move again...

Here's my current hand quilting project. Very improv and each "block" is getting a different quilting motif. Getting out of my comfort zone with this one! Lots of freehanding,etc...Wow, sorry for huge pics, I will resize them smaller next time!

thanks for sharing the patterns, love them both I have to do that Scottie dog quilt. The
other quilt with the 9 patch border is really nice also. I wonder if it would work with all the same color for each square since we don't have multiples of fabrics. Might check that out.

MizMelly you mentioned that you have a cat quilt that we can use our 2.5" squares to build. I would love to see that! please post it if possible.

Checking in here too. Love the hand quilting, my hands just won't let me do that. I finished some new table runners and mats for spring and am working on the fall block swap blocks so I have them done. 1 more set to go Armylady2012.
Good news, we sold our mobile home last Wednesday and closed last Friday. Awesome feeling, glad to be rid of the lot rent each month and utilities. We're so glad we bought this new house in Florida, love the garage, more room and the pool. Not to sure I am in a hurry to go back to Wyoming for the summer. Our new grandson is coming on March 22, that'll be fun. Have a good week everyone

I am just checking in. Lovely ideas Have4boys. My candies have NOT been sent, bad me, but they are ready to go. Likely tomorrow to the post office. I have been just as busy as everyone else and on a mission to empty my 31Bag of all 2.5 square. (I am a silly girl. How can I ever use them all up?) My guild is getting tired of my show and tell quilts all being 2.5 squares. :D Happy quilting everyone!

Here's what I would do to have kitties with the scotty dogs. I'd modify this block to 2.5" squares and do alternating blocks with the dogs and the kitties. I hardly ever just follow a pattern, I love to modify!
