Wow These are great ideas! Mine are ready to mail for March. It is a great idea to get them all ready to take to the Post Office as needed. I will work on that at my UFO today. Thanks for all the great tips!

lottieparker 03-14-2018 08:56 AM

Good news for me....I finished cutting and packing all 39 birthday cards for our group. I feel so accomplished and prepared like a good girl scout.

39? I counted 37 not including myself...

Pattyjo 03-14-2018 07:16 PM

Hi Ladies, I mailed both bjsmith57 and Jarenie envelopes on Mon. March 5 but just realized I signed them Pat Cain and didn't write my blog name ( Pattyjo) on them (sorry I'm a newbie)

Dang! I made 40. (one for me). And I pride myself as a math whiz. Gosh , this getting old really sucks. On the plus side, I will save it and send it as a surprise to two friends. So no worry, except for my lost mind..............

Anoka Quilter 03-15-2018 08:52 AM

March birthday candies are going out in the mail today. Jarenie, I am mailing yours 2-day priority and bjsmith57 yours will just go regular mail since there is plenty of mailing time and is going to the Suite 23 PMB 16 address.

I left for vacation on February 21st and was going to mail out the March birthday candies but didn't have any stamps so figured I would just stop at the Post Office on the way to the airport to get stamps and mail. Hubby was late in picking me up so I didn't have time to stop at the Post Office so hubby said he would take care of it for me.

I got back from my trip, gone 10 days, and immediately had to play catch-up at work and meet the financial reporting deadlines that we have, which means I am working 12-13 hour days. Didn't even think to ask hubby if he mailed my letters. Last night we went out for supper and took his car vs the truck and guess what was on his front seat. Your got it, my birthday candy envelopes.

Lesson learned....don't ask hubby to stop at post office to get stamps and mail your letters :o

bjsmith57 03-15-2018 02:56 PM

Thanks for the update. I will post your name on the updated list and provide you feedback when received:thumbup:

Envelopes went out today for our March Birthday girls and I discovered that I need to redo my plan for how to package them.. Ah, well. I have lots of other chances to get it right and..less expensive. Have a wonderful week-end everyone. I am off to stay with three grandkiddos while their mum and dada vacation alone for a week.

sunrise450 03-16-2018 09:07 AM

FaintlyArtistic, I love your hand quilting also. I would love to try this but like Jaba I would question if my right hand could handle it. My doctor gave me a prescription for a ointment to rub on where my arthritis is and it may work. It has stopped the pain so far. At least for awhile. It can be used up to four times a day. With this I may be able to do some hand quilting or hand embroidery.

Texastam 03-16-2018 09:57 AM

Just checking in. I have been down pretty sick. I know bjsmith received my candies, but have not heard from Jarenie. Hope she is ok!

givio 03-16-2018 03:54 PM

Faintly Artistic, beautiful! Such even stitches! I like your use of different colored threads. It doesn't look like machine sewing thread-- is that cro-sheen? Embroidery floss?

It's been about a week since I mailed my envelopes. Hope they get there!

sunrise450 03-17-2018 05:05 AM

Just a quick note. If you want to see a bunch of patterns that are more than doable go to modabakeshop.com .
There is everything you would want there plus all the holidays.

aborning 03-17-2018 06:55 AM

I went to a Quilt Retreat last Sunday. I mailed the March envelopes before I went. (Maybe on Friday). I hope they have gotten to the birthday girls by now.

JuanitaBean 03-17-2018 08:34 AM

I hope this helps, I'm dealing with family company right now, so haven't been able to use the sewing room since it's occupied!

Happy birthday, Jarenie! I trust my little package arrived today in time for the great reveal of all your little fabric treats from this crew of quilters.

WMUTeach 03-20-2018 04:46 PM

Ice, I was a bit whinny today because it was 37 and windchill about 12. I guess your snow aces my windchill. "Tomorrow will be another day!"

Faintly Artistic 03-21-2018 06:47 AM

Checking in...happy birthday to the 2 birthday girls! We finally closed and moved and it was a whirlwind couple of days! Now comes the figuring out where to put everything/fun part! Will we be getting the April names and addresses soon? I'm *pretty sure* I know where my box of candies is...🤣

MizMelly 03-21-2018 07:15 AM

Just an update from sunny and getting warmer and warmer AZ! I'm volunteering at the Arizona Quilters Guild show this week. Today I'm helping to hang quilts! What fun to get a hands on preview of the lovelies that are on display!
