I'm not complaining too loudly. I've been wanting to try snow dyeing all winter, and there hasn't been any decent snowfall. Just what a friend calls winter dust. Now I have pretreated fabric sitting on a rack in the backyard while mother nature covers it up with a nice even blanket of snow. Then I'll bring it inside, sprinkle dye powder on it, and let the snow melt. Wash the fabric and then see what I got.

I have never heard of snow dyeing....I think I would like to see the results of this. However I am willing to wait until next winter to give it a try....mother nature.

Still snowing at my house right now and I am so over it. Although it makes for a great quilting day.

Just checked the old thread (2017/2018) and saw that jarenie posted who she received from on that one. Glad she's okay, I was starting to wonder!

Faintly Artistic, thanks for sharing your discovery-- I didn't think to look there at that thread. I was wondering about what happened too! It sounds like she was having a great trip away from home. What a treat! :-) It was nice to see her post with a list of who she received candies from. :-)

So far, some of it is gorgeous and some of it is meh. The meh will go back in the dye vats. Will try to post pictures when it's been dried and pressed.

I have never heard of snow dyeing either. Hope you send some pictures. We don't have much snow here but just a few miles north of me there was plenty of snow. I think it is all melted now but there is next year.

Ice Leopard, how do you make it colorfast? And what type of dye do you buy?

My Grandsons took me on a Sailing Ship through the Panama Canal What a great way to travel. We spent a week in Florida with my Sons and now I am back to the homestead and just got through all of my mail.

It has been a very different time this month.
I finally got through all the mail for over a month.
I have received all of the candies and lots of great cards and wishes.
I lost my daughter last year and both of her sons were the best in helping me through it all. They made this years birthday very special as this is a trip that their mother an I have talked about many times. I think we will all be better now. We did a lot of talking.

I want to thank all of you for everything. I received a pattern from one of the members that I will be using for my squares. It fit the way that I feel. Will post pick when done.

I know they are very late, surgery on my left hand has curtailed all my activites. My brother has been my big helping hand. However he does not drive so I have been home most of the time.

Good day everyone!!! I’m checking in to say Hi. I received April’s Birthday list. Will mail out later this week. I also been busy doing spring cleaning (since it’s spring, yea). I taking a few Day way from cleaning so i’m Going to finish a few UFO’s and 1 WIP. Then back to cleaning. Gee I hate spring/fall cleaning. Such a pain. I also took a day & did a mini shop hop. That was fun. I wished I had had time to hit the 5th shop. But that was my home station. So I missed that one. I can’t believe I only spent $15.00 for a tee shirt. It had a really cute saying on it. Happy sewing everyone.

One of our local long time Quilt shops is closing this week(retirment). So in I went yesterday with a list. I got 10 yards of great fabric at 1/2 price and 24 fat quarters, too. Some will end up coming to you as birthday candies. It was great fun.
