Thanks for the envelope info. Well I'm going in to work now. Factory with no ac and no air movement. Its sooo freaking hot!!! Can't wait till tomorrow n saturday. Gonna stay in ac and sew and cut my F8

Funny, talk of all these cakes, cookies, ohhhhhhhhhhh brownies. hehehe Okay got the last of my fabric out to Wendsy and on ohhhhhhhhhhhh Friday the 13th.

I just learned a good lesson, Don't use the zip lock bags, when you close the envelope the zipper part puts a hole in the bag, I can imagine what the post office would do to the bag if I mailed them. Oh well back to the store for new baggies, Guess I will be one more day unto they are mailed.

I used gallon bags, and cut off the zipper part. Then I cut each baggie in half from top to bottom. Then I put a folded-to-envelope-size F8 into each of the bag halves, and taped the two open edges of the baggie down, squeezing out all the air I could. In other words, I got two F8's packaged up using only one gallon-sized baggie.

Then I popped 'em into business-sized envelopes and sent them on their way. :)

Thanks for the tip, Thats what I will do. Need baggies, new envelopes and new lables. Feel like I'm starting all over again. LOL

SHAYSMEMA, you shouldn't have to start over. Just cut off the zips on the bags you've used, tape together and put into new envelopes. Should still be able to make the post today ....

We learned from our last swap to just wrap the blocks in plastic wrap. If there is anything that sticks up in your envelope, your postage goes up. If it fits through their slot, it is an envelope. Anything sticking up, or anything that makes your envelope thicker is considered a package and your postage will go up. Make them as flat as possible.

Since this is my first Boomerang, I was wondering once we are finished with the block, do we mail back what's left of the 8th with the finished block?

I would like to keep the scraps from the squishies. I am thinking about incorporating them on the backside of my quilt, maybe as part of the label with everyones names and cities. I hope that is alright with you all. I certainly do not want/need the scraps back from my squishies that I am sending out. I can't wait for the post man to arrive this afternoon... Something coming in the mail is nice... times 35 is amazing!

I got my first boomerang from Wendsy. The race is on.Woohoo.

I have not received the posts from page 14 on! I kept wondering why no one was talking! I don't know what's going on here, BUT I am waiting on labels from gracious April to send my fabric out. I have not seen any squishies but I put my sleeping bag next to the mailbox to wait...then the temp went up to heat index of 116, and I went in to the a/c. Must be why I don't have any squishies...not haunting the mailbox like I usually do...

I've got my first squishy!!!! My DH came with the mail announcing it.
It is from moonrise. Butterflyes all over a black background. It is for sure a challenge for me but I'll let the fabric talk to me and see what it says.

Received squishys from barbsbus, kwiltkrazy,missgigglewings and moonrise. Such beautiful fabric. Now to go start sewing the blocks. Will mail mine off Monday had to redo bags. Will try to return the above then also. One trip to PO. LOL. Keep them coming ladies I love it.

I thank God I nolonger have daycare bills or a mortgage. Do have a cell phone bill. But I do have an outragous light bill since my 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren moved in.

Well I only have a mortgage bill for another 20 years and a daycare bill for 2 soooooo the light is coming...slow but it is coming lol

Renee are you divideing you blocks in half and making 2 quilts one for each twin.?the same fabric?

I use the Walmart "Straight Talk" phone, pay $45 a mo/for unlimited text, time and internet. It makes a big diff/got rid of my land line so I only have one bill. If I could just figure out how to reduce internet/cable.

I want more money for fabric! Got to have more fabric for Boom 4.0 - I'm obsessed!

Hi! I got squishies, One from moonrise,love your butterfly fab, one from wendsy love your fab also.This is going to be so much fun!!!! Sending mine out Monday.

Well my hubby drives a truck over the road and straight talk had too many places where there was no coverage. We have 4 phone lines on that bill so I guess $267 isnt that bad for what we get. I have to have a landline too though which sucks. I live in the middle of a bunch of mountains and there is absolutely no cell signal out here at all! Our light bill is through the roof, we live in a really old house with tons of air leaks and no insulation to speak of, but its paid for! I am slowly remodeling it all and fixing everything, but hubby is only home 4 days a month so I do a lot by myself. I layed a tile floor all by myself and I am so proud of it!
You could have hubby's big truck payment in place of mortgage payment, its pretty much a house on wheels! It cost more than most people's mortgages a month!

Just so you all know, that baking talk yesterday got me craving goodies so today I baked. Nothing near as fancy as I read but I got me a pineapple upside down cake in the oven!! YUM. Cant wait for it to be done!
