wa Hoo! I must be getting better at my blocks! When I first joined the boom, my level was waaaay below the blocks I was receiving. I felt bad so I experimented and a few of you received blocks "with borders" (we all know what that means :-) and recently I attempted new blocks and they actually came out the correct size.

This has been a wonderful learning experience and everyone has been really nice.

Update on my grownups . . .

I do not have blocks from: babyfire, cuppy, dottie dodge, girlscouts1, goldendog55, Lovingizabella, lovinggrandma, missgigglewings, moonwork42029, Navarre2011, OK Darla, oldcatlady, Roseysue, Tracibug, urgodschild2 and ninakk.

I love doing these booms. I get to work with so many different fabrics, see I get bored easy so making 40 blocks of my own fabric? UGH but with help I get to enjoy something with fabric I love AND I get to play with variety!!! I will surely be signing up again for the next one. And everyone starts somewhere. I am just an average quilter I would say. Last summer I was a super beginner again relearning this quilting stuff all over. Lots of help, encouragement you ladies are so great with that. I think that it is a great learning experience and well the more you try at it the better your bound to get. And be patient with yourself while doing it. No one was perfect from the start. Not a one of us :) Love my blocks can't wait til they are all home.. seems like the group is working FAST this year lots of early finishes.

That is what I thought was so fun also. Making each block different is never boring.

Thanks for the great blocks :) Dad is really liking the variety.

Hint to anyone else....he has mentioned he'd like at least one more cat block so if you are stymied for a block, I know he'd be tickled with another cat or so.

Im missing about the same people on blocks. I was just reading my list and found it kind of funny that at least 4 of the 9 I need were from California! LOL....not saying anything bad, just that they were from the same state! :) Is it June yet and time for a new swap??
