I have thoroughly enjoyed this swap. It is amazing to see how even the least skilled among us have selected colors and patterns that come to life using just one focus fabric. I can see so much potential in all of the blocks I received. I know that my fabric selection was likely a stretch for some, but not everything I received was in my comfort zone, either! Stretching the creative brain is a good thing.

Finally, April (AND Izabella), thanks so much for bringing this swap to us. I have really enjoyed it. Izzy, I am so honored and blessed that I was the recipient of your first quilt block. It will always have a place of honor in my heart and in my home.

This swap has touched me in a lot of ways and I find myself truly blessed to have been a part of it with all of you.

TTFN,

Odessa

Odessa,
I and Izabella too are thrilled to hear you will be keeping her block and that it will be honored in your heart and home :-) We also are glad you enjoyed the swap. We enjoyed swapping with you as well! all of the blocks from this swap will go in to quilts for Izabella and I :-) Thank you all again!
Hugs
April
PS If anyone is still missing blocks from this swap please PM me. Thank you

Good question Lisa. ALS is Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. For those who don't know, it robs the muscles of their ability to function/work. Eventually, the sufferer ends up in a wheelchair, bedridden, and sometimes on a ventilator as even their diaphragm gets affected and they are unable to breath. But imagine it: your brain (as it is NOT muscle) still functions like it always did. So you are in a body that doesn't work, you likely can't talk at some point, but your mind is still okay. It's such a devastating disease and there is no cure. I could devote my time to so many worthy causes, but there is something about this one that touches me. I can only imagine what someone with the disease suffers, and pray that I never get it.

April,

Yes, I am still missing some blocks from this one, but as I am at work, I don't remember how many or from whom. I'll send you a PM later today (if the collander-brain-syndrome ["CBS"]) will allow me to remember to do it!

Thank you for sharing!

Thanks everyone! I will let her know. I really like and I know she loves it! This is going to be a quilt for her to keep!

Alas, I have only squared up a handful of my blocks and I have started sewing some sashing onto some of them.

I am only missing one block. I will send you a PM, April.

Thanks! :)

I have made a friendship star block from everyone's leftover fabric plus some of the fabric I used with your fabric when I made your block. I want to write your name on your block then I will get a picture and post it. I'll be putting them on the back with some leftover blocks. I need 30 for the front the way I have it planned now so will have 6 for the back. Of course plans change until it is done!

:-D

BRT,
I mailed you a postage paid envelope on Friday to return all of the fabrics from this swap to me so I can get them home to their correct homes. Thanks so much!
