Hope everyone had a great day new clues don't really fit up here, unless you count all the casinos that are run by the tribes, and all the rivers and lakes.;)
I am exhausted tonight so I hope to be able to sew tomorrow. We were suppose to go to a city council meeting tonight and it looked like the place would be packed. Since I needed to finish processing some apples, I left my DH at the meeting and walked the 3 blocks home, I don't like to talk at these meetings. I now have 4 Pints of apple sauce and 9 1/2 pints of apple jelly cooling. Tomorrow night I will start to wrap and get my box in order. My SSR will have to read a story as she opens the goodies. It's no fair getting ahead and just ripping everything open. Since I have seen her post pictures on the website I know she has a camera. Just in case I will send some batteries.:)

I will even have a shot of the Coconut Rum on ice....I did look in the box I have been putting things in and I believe it is ready for me to close it and get it ready for the elves to deliver it.

Just bring a glass or mug with you and we'll keep it filled. :)

Family comes first, as it should. I hope all is well. Looks to me like the ball is still rolling along, just fine. :)

I'm only about 63" so that'd be perfect, for me!

Dreamer! You're back! I hope the move wasn't too bad. We've missed you. Hope you get to play with us more now & things are winding down from the move.

Let SharonB know we haven't forgotten her either. I hope things are improving with the family & we'll hear from her soon.

I posted about this umpteen pages ago. Last year we opened them on Sunday, Dec. 9th at 3:00 p.m. eastern time. I proposed Sunday Dec. 8th this year at 3:00 p.m. eastern time. We need to start really narrowing this down as the mailing deadline is fast approaching. What does everyone think? Shall we go with this? Or a later date??

Cindy60545 10-29-2013 02:20 AM

Well folks, I'm up & moving already. My purring alarm clock just won't let me sleep in! I swear I'm going to throw her out! NOT! She's such a lover girl! Pain in the rear when she gets in her energy spurts, but when she calms down, she becomes this loving kitty. Good thing I don't allow her in my studio! I'd hate to see what she'd do in there!
I did get a lot accomplished yesterday on the UFO I'm working on. Will probably come close to getting all those circles paper pieced today. Then I have to choose what I'm going to use for the setting background & get them done so I can put the whole thing together. It's a New York beauty of sorts. It'll be interesting, for sure.

Today's clue: Your area must really like football, as a number of your former residents went on to the NFL.

Your date and time sounds good.

Judith1005 10-29-2013 04:05 AM

Now this sounds fun. I hope your SSR does you justice. It intrigues me.

CookyIN and Nessie, thanks for the invitation to jump in, I am very tempted now, I hear you are passing around coconut rum - rum doesn't sit well on my stomach but vodka is ok, so I will bring the coconut vodka and some pineapple juice! Yum. And Nessie, unfortunately I am not your secret Santa but do like that you picked up on the blue, maybe I meant my recipient likes blue? I was trying to throw out a couple of hints without being completely obvious.

ljs317 10-29-2013 05:14 AM

I mailed my SS box out this week or was it last week or was it yesterday oh dear my memory is so fuzzy. But I know I mailed it out. Now the test of my patience begins I can't wait to get my SS box and I can't wait to see if my SS posts that the box was received.

Louise Houghtaling 10-29-2013 05:18 AM

I love the idea of Dec 8 being the opening day. It will make my birthday all that much more special. I also want to say that this hole is really quite cozy. Kudos to the decorator. I"m dazzled by the number of outlets for equipment. My electric tea kettle keeps me ready to make a pot of Earl Grey tea on demand for anyone who wants it. And there must be magic elves....the mugs magically get cleaned! I could get used to this!

Jamimclaugh 10-29-2013 05:20 AM

So if my Ss is listening and needs another idea I want to try embroidery! So any guide or embroidery thread/tools may be a fun easy thing to add in :) to my ssr, you like musical things.

Pacific time is 3 hours earlier...3pm EST would be 12PST...

The time won't work for me, but that's okay...it's not going to work for everyone regardless...I will be in church at that time.

:D:DDreamer...hello!!!! Sooooooooooooo glad to seeeeeeee you!!!!!!!!!!!

Stitch124 10-29-2013 06:22 AM

I agree with Cindy -- Dec 8th at 3pm is good for me. Let the fun begin! Stitch124

Neesie 10-29-2013 06:22 AM

Any date/time is okay with me, but I've no idea what my December schedule will be, yet. We do need to think about those on Pacific time, though.

Stitch124 10-29-2013 06:26 AM

Don't know who my SS is and I haven't received anything in the mail yet so if you are still looking for things to put in the box, I'd love to have a redwork pattern.

Whew! For a bit there, I was thinking we had a Smurf amongst us!

Oh, just jump into the hole! You know you're gonna end up here, sooner or later. :D It's to your advantage, to join while there's still plenty of goodies to eat and drink.

Originally, the coconut rum was intended as just a splash, in a cup of hot cocoa. As the bottle got passed around, it ended up in coffee, over ice . . . and I suspect a few just took a swig, from the bottle. Mind you this is a very large bottle, being passed! Coconut vodka is sure to be a big hit, as well. We also have non-alcoholic beverages, in abundance! :)

Giant pangs of guilt here. I signed up and await shipping for gifts for my SS person before I put her box together. The thread here is HUGE and I have not begun to comb through it.

About me, well my partner could look at my blog here. I am pretty much an old hippie. I have 3 dogs and 3 cats who keep me busy dreaming up ways to re-purpose animal hair. I have 5 sons ages 28,27,22,20, and 16 with the two youngest living with me still (I am pretty sure these two are the new Second Hand Lions.) I am the brain and gopher behind my husband's home repair business which ebbs and flows...think more toward the ebb side.)

I have several hobbies and usually have at least 10 going at once and none finished! No sooner do I finish a project I am starting another. I have ADD and focus is a huge challenge. Keeping lots of things going keeps me out of trouble!

I am 53 years old and still peri meno. NOT FAIR, who still has pimples, wrinkles, AND chin hair?

Hints for my SS partner:

Your state begins with the letter M
Good Grief! (yes, that IS a hint)

Sew_Tracy - Minnesota! Charles Schultz is from here and we love all things Charlie Brown. In fact, my 9-year old stepdaughter insisted on dressing up in Charlie Brown's ghost costume (remember he had trouble with the scissors so lots of holes!) for Halloween. She even spraypainted a bunch of styrofoam as her rocks so they're light enough to carry around with her ("I got a rock...")... We created her costume masterpiece over the weekend while watching the Great Pumpkin.

I cannot tell you how many times I tried to talk my boys into that costume! It's brilliant and I hope she brings a lot of smiles to a lot of faces!

Wow - there's two of us that are Peanuts fans that are in M states??? This is my Peanuts tree! The collection was started by my Aunt when I was a child, and I buy at least a few new ornaments every year - this year, I bought the whole Hallmark Peanuts collection as I put those and my Disney ornaments on Layaway in July!

Coconut vodka with pineapple juice sounds heavenly; please come sit by me!

I'm thinking we should all plan a stash raid for Halloween. With our moustaches and billy bob teeth supplied by Neesie, we would blend right in with the trick-or-treaters. And we may even round up some candy to boot. Who's in?

huntannette 10-29-2013 09:51 AM

Well it `s on it`s way......to the USA.....youhoooo!!! hope she likes what I`ve sent........Ok ladies....now I can sit and relax.....rum for me.....will bring golden rum........anyone want to share????
