That is a fantastic cake! Did you make it?
Shipped my package today; not going out of state, but what a big state it is, it could be going to one of a couple hundred people.

I love what you are putting in your Secret Santa's box, she is going to love all of it. By the way, don't you think you should clean up your work area a little bit? I wouldn't want you to get lost out there in your shop!!
:D :D :D :D

Thanks a lot pal! I just went to the store & bought a roll so I could wrap all these goodies for my Santaee! For all those inquiring minds out there, the pattern for the bear came from Eleanor Burn's book "Christmas at Bear Paw Ranch". I've had the book for quite some time, just never got around to making this guy. Now this year I'm making 4 or 5 of them!
Clean up the shop?? Everything you see is WIP's. The red, black, white is the Diamond Log cabin I'm doing (Dunster's pattern). Which is sitting on top of all my scrap bins (blue one is strips, white is squares, & brown is fat quarters.). The roll is steam -a-seam for Tropical Gardens applique. You didn't see Queenie.....she's empty right now, but not for long!

Did someone say fudge?? I'm on my way to the hole!!

Today's hint........you live southwest of me.

I mailed my package and here is a picture of the wrapped goodies. I managed to fit all this into a nice priority mail box. It shows three packages wrapped but there is so much in those three packs. I also packed some jingly bells in the box, hehehehe.

If those are on normal tiles they are some nice size packages, I would love to have them. :p But I have been shaking mine and trying to determine what is making all the noise?:o

IT IS NOT MANDATORY TO WRAP.
I did not wrap.

Chester the bunny 10-29-2014 06:28 PM

Penni F......love those little bone candies, there's so cute.
Beautiful cake!

madamekelly 10-29-2014 06:57 PM

Question for my santee- do you want your gifts individually wrapped? If you do, I could take some of the gifts back and use them myself so there will be enough room for the wrapping paper, if I add big bows, I could keep even more for me.......or not....?

DANG !!! Why didn't i think of that ???!!!

BrendaK 10-29-2014 07:12 PM

Super Center Piece PenniF. Can I sit next to you? I will bring a lot of paper towels Nessie even though I am very neat (ha,ha,). I will make a place for Madamekelly next to me. I love chocolate (don't most of us).

SheriR thanks for the thoughts but sorry I don't remember if I am your Secret Santa or not, if not maybe next year. Already have a box started for next year. Can't believe how much fun it is getting all these things ready. I love this time of year.

Sorry everyone but I think that the bear is coming my way. I don't emb. any more but I could always start up again if I got the pouch.

When is the reveal date?

Hope all with health problems are feeling better. BrendaK

What a great gift. Love the pretty fabric and all the neat places to tuck things and store needles. I hope it's for me. I just started hand embroidering again.

Sorry that is a table top, so the tiles are about 3 x 3.

m-fay 10-30-2014 03:21 AM

hav4boys 10-30-2014 04:00 AM

Wicked, wicked madamekelly! :D Into the hole with you! The good news is, PenniF is there with her fabulous cake and Cabana Boy is at your beck and call. And I believe we'll have him and the Butler keep a toasty fire going in the fireplace over the next few days -- going to get cold here.

ljs317 10-30-2014 05:14 AM

OH!! OH!! OH!!My Goodness I love that cake. Ill be right over for a sample. I love to eat those sugar candy toppers. I have a secret addiction to them and buy them all the time. love the Cake!!

PenniF 10-30-2014 05:24 AM

Glad y'all like the cake....Confess i only baked the cupcakes and supervised and oversaw -- my 3 DGDs did the "construction" and decorating.

I must have "chocolate overdose brain fog"....(more likely just a senior CRS moment) .....or maybe Neesie or Cooky or Dreamer just made my drink too strong !!!!.......i just cannot remember --- has a reveal date been agreed / decided ???

DebbieS 10-30-2014 05:32 AM

I am new here. Could someone explain a bit more about this? Thanks. Debbie in Pa.

Neesie 10-30-2014 06:49 AM

Penni, I don't think an opening date has been agreed upon, yet. . . unless I also missed it. :p

DebbieS, did you sign up for the Secret Santa, back in September? If so, all of the rules are on the original post. :)

I was gonna give my Secret Santee a clue but then decided not to. :D

sunrise450 10-30-2014 07:46 AM

Wow! So many have sent their SS packages already! I am starting to feel panicky, I still have three things to finish! I looked and I see that we have till the 14th to send, don't we? That hasn't changed has it?

No...it hasn't changed...i think some of us are just doing a lot of "making" this year and trying to get things done "early". Mine is done and boxed already - which is SOOOO unlike me !!!

Quercus Rubra 10-30-2014 08:09 AM

My My What a bunch of busy bee's you have been. I am finished up this one little ?? and I have a few more things to do for my Santa Receiver. With having a one week reprieve with the surgery getting moved to next Tuesday... I'm in manic panic mode to finish things up in time. But I was more able to make some home made items for you. At times I'm second guessing myself on what I'm sending but I really need to quit worrying so much. Good thing I seem to be able to work well under pressure.

PeginCO I think that little pouch is beautiful as all the home made pictures has show us. I hope it comes to visit me as I LOVE all kinds of hand work. I'm already thinking of some little projects that I can start after the new year so that I might add them to the box. I started out this year like that then the schedule of projects went sideways on me, leaving me in the current state of mind.

To my Receiver... like most of us you could have a pet, but I'm only taking a guess here  or not depending my Intel. You do like this, that and then there is that other thing you like. I'm hoping that you might like this and I think you will. I can tell you that may or may not be close to me as the crow fly. Never can tell how far or near that crow has to go. :) You & I like some of the same things that you might have listed. I'm hoping to me able to make some thing in ??? for you. Crossing my fingers on it.

Well I have a doctor appointment here soon so I must get myself in order for the trip in to a big town. Talk to everyone later. Be good... if you can't be good... at least be safe!!!

Tricia

blondeslave 10-30-2014 10:46 AM

I'm finally here and caught up with the posts. I'm just finishing up with a swap I do with my basset hound folks every year. Normally it's in August but this year it was moved to my busiest work month of the year. As I read the 2 billion posts to catch up I discovered that my Santee has not posted here since she signed up(kind of like me). From the few hints I got from her signing up and her profile we are very much alike with one very big exception. We are even the same age. The funniest thing though was that if I were inclined to go visit my friend Angelika in November I could actually hand deliver my box-my Santee only lives about a half hour from my friend. I saw the lists of qestions and answers but since I'm so late I'm not certain it would be any help to my SS. Hmmm....maybe if she wants me to answer the questions she should PM me.....hee, hee...

BrendaK 10-30-2014 10:59 AM

Nice try blondeslave but.......I don't think that is going to work. BrendaK

PenniF 10-30-2014 11:02 AM

Bondslave...that kind of thing will get you sent to the "no goodies" side of the hole !!!!

PenniF 10-30-2014 11:08 AM

Tricia....i was just getting ready to PM you to see how you were doing from last Monday's surgery.....will be keeping you in my thoughts.

KarenK 10-30-2014 11:09 AM

My Secret Santee's package of surprises is almost ready to be mailed. Just a wee bit of handwork left.

It will be traveling to somewhere in the Midwest.

Hee, hee....that's why I brought a couple of cases of "whine" with me to share on the goodies side of the hole...

letsquilt 10-30-2014 11:46 AM

Just finished with my last item that I made for my Secret Santie, now it's all wrapped and ready to go out in the mail tomorrow! So glad to have that done, but it was fun to do.

Quilty-Louise 10-30-2014 12:14 PM

I ordered one final gift for my Santee. i am HOPING she doesn't
already have this.

Although I ordered the last item it is going to be delivered directly
to her house when it is finished being made (I did not make it though).

I DO want to make something for my gal, but not sure what to make
her.

You live in the 3rd most populated city in your state. With OVER 1/4
million people.

Your zip code adds up to 76 but I am not saying HOW that number
got added up.

I plan to mail my box this weekend or early next week, because this
box has to travel to my friend who in turn open the OUTER box, add
postage to the inner box (the SS box) and mail it to my Santee. This
is done to prevent my gal from knowing it is me sending to her.

Have fun everyone.

kariboo 10-30-2014 12:33 PM

yippy, just mailed off my special package today ~~ it will be there in 3 days.. this way it makes her wonder what treasures are nestled in side.. some things I didn't want to part with.. sigh... lol, such is life.!
