I hate to be a stinker but the dark fabric looks black in the photo. Is it really blue?

Not being a stinker at all, it is really, truely blue. Just a bit dark in the photo. Should have taken the picture outside.

Thank you. This block was a real challenge. The pattern I found stated it was 12" finished, when I did one, it was 15" instead. Had to downsize the pattern, with 5 rows by 5 columns it was interesting, but I did it!

I really don't want to send them in but, I will. Maybe I will make a couple more to keep and add to my new ones!

The blocks look great.

I worked T. G. & Y. in high school for almost three years. If I look hard enough, I may still have some fabric from there. I know I still have some thread marked from there, but it is horrible compared to the threads of today. Oh my that was a long time ago. Best bosses I ever had!

I remember the smell of the store. Not a bad smell, just a different blend. Sort of like Pick n Save, or Big Lots. Ours was two story, actually a basement, which is very unusual in this part of the country!!
I loved the lunch counter at Woolworth, the cherry cokes and hot dogs were the best.

Talk about memories -- I worked in the Credit Dept. and for the District Mgr of W. T. Grants. That was my first job.
