Sounds good, girls! Looking forward to seeing your progress. :-)
Mim, Have you received the 36" top from Lv2sew2011?

Just to update those who are wondering about the quilt top that Lv2sew2011 has, she has messaged me that she'll be putting it in the mail soon. She is taking care of her terminally ill father 24/7 after the passing of her mother. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

My quilting buddy and I went on a 'road trip' to several area quilt shops yesterday. I had planned a pieced border but when I saw this print...well, it was perfect! My granddaughter 'helped' me cut and sew it today. She is 4 and loves to watch me sew. A couple times, her nose was so close, I asked her if she could see....because I couldn't, she was so close but she told me 'yes, I can see, Grandma!' She held the tape measure and it is exactly a 52 1/2 inch square. She was a proud helper! I hope you like it TRF.

maryb119, I love your fussy cutting. Great straight of grain print. Nice job!

Oh, yes!!! So beautiful, every single row! Thank you Maryb119, so much. I have finished my round on yours, ROS, too. I have a picture, but the color is not good since I took it outside for more light, and got more than I wanted.

I finally figured out how the center "petals" were made, so that is how the border is done, too. I will try for a better picture tomorrow, the colors really are much prettier than they look.

Thank you. I have a hard time working with plaid or a print unless I can cut it straight. The dressmaker in me wants the plaids to match and be cut straight and don't let me get started on stripes..... It is a simple border and I hope no one is disapointed that I didn't do more but anything I tired was way too busy for this quilt. I am a good seamstress and I can do more but I try to do what I think accents and not competes with the earlier rounds.

I think it is just perfect, and the simplicity is a rest for the brain and eyes, and a frame for all the energy. I thought the same thing about the beautiful green/gold border on ROS's quilt. Your long experience in creating beauty with fabrics shows, and your restraint paid off.
